Waiting for the return of the Desmond Show.. er.. I mean Lost

...At least thats what the previews all make it look like.
I liked the premiere because it was a change of scenary, but the others are just annoying. It does suck, but I'm willing to see it through to the end of the season. I honestly can't remember what part of season 2 sucked. Maybe because I don't own the DVDs. Of course I don't remember when I stopped watching Alias either or why I ever cared about it.

I really tried to get into the Nine and I understand it's not really about "what happened in there", but the characters are just so boring.
I love Daybreak, but I hope it lasts only one season or was written to fit a one season run. I kinda felt that way about 24 until last season. I wish networks would take chances and commit to shorter shows that aren't planned to last for years and years.
Oh and Heroes is cool, but I only catch every other episode so I'm in the dark in some areas.

Luckily Medium is still on Wednesdays. :)
Yeah, they would have to put in on at the same time as Medium. They do that with everything else I watch though too, so I'm not surprised. Luckily I have Tivo, but some nights there's nothing to watch and others there are 3 things at once I want to see. Aggravating. Maybe they'll move Medium.

The 9 was ok, but I was getting a little sick of it, waiting for it to go somewhere. Not surprised it got the ax, but it's still too bad, it was pretty good sometimes. I'm liking Heroes more and more.

I know for a fact, it is not being picked up again.
Its too bad, there are some good people in there

and you know this from where? come on, you should know here on macrumors not to state fact without backing it up somehow! :p

and all i can say is that if they do drop it at the end of the season, it better provide some damn answers.

They won't be droping Lost, I've read that Lost will last until it's Season 5, and then possibly a movie to explain further stuff.

And by the way, I also think that the show is looking different, but that's just their way to diversify it a little, to not do the same kind of suspense over and over again, I am actually enjoying the season 3, lot of unanswered questions but it's still one of my favorite shows. In fact, I have 2 or 3 Lost-Addicted friends and they are loving the change of mood in the show, "it's refreshing", that's what they say.

I'll just be waiting for January (till Jack Bauer strikes again, eheh)

How was medium? I missed it to watch Mythbusters and didn't bother to stay up to watch it west coast.

Note that the title of blueflame's post is "The Nine", so I don't think he's talking about Lost.

The Nine held my interest for about half of the pilot episode.

Someone suggested this on The Fuselage. Think of the first six episodes as season 2.5. It wraps up what happened in the season 2 finale. When I think about it from that angle, I don't think they could have done a better job.

Dunno, darn Tivo didn't record it for some reason.

Recorded SNL with Matthew Fox though, and there was a funny scene where they joked about how Lost wasn't going anywhere this season. :D

Tee hee. "mid season adverts", gonna be a short season!

1st one - interesting. "not as simple as that" makes me think the whole thing was planned (perhaps we're going into realistic answers now? maybe it was a whole set up?)
2nd- didn't load fully for me
3rd- *yawn*
4th- no, we're back to fantasy again. Hope they somehow explain this prediction business.

Lost may be returning, but "The Nine", which followed Lost for a month or so, has been shelved because it never got the ratings ABC expected. An article I read said they can't tell why it didn't catch on, since it used the same "learn about characters in flashbacks" technique and had a prime timeslot, and had what they thought were interesting characters and an interesting story.

I suspect that the only market research they do is to read the MacRumors forums.

Its just like TV executives to go "Oh, that show works... therefore if we make x dozen copies of that show they will work too!"

Like how many umpteen trillion copies of CSI do we have now? I've lost count. Hell 2 of less interesting ones even have "CSI" in the name!

A week from yesterday, we'll see what the writers accomplished in their two months of break.

I, personally hope they've been given a definivite last episode date (be it this May or next), and have beeen forced to write everything out so that they begin to answer questions. Honestly though, I'm not expecting it.

We'll see in a week.

At least they're going to air all the episodes without re-runs. Now if we can only get them to eliminate the commercials (it would only be a half hour show :p )!
