I'm assuming Michael and Walt are off the show for good, so the writers are just ignoring them.

Don't know this for sure, but it seems a little odd that there was absolutely no conversation about it.

Does Hurley know Michael and Walt sailed off? Didn't they send him back to the beach before giving Michael Walt, the boat and directions?

Of course they should be talking about how Michael betrayed them but I don't know that anyone other than Kate, Jack, and Sawyer know that Micael and Walt are gone.

Of course my memory is sketchy on the season finale so I could be mistaken.

No, he was there when Michael got into the boat.

We see this all the time on shows. Actors leave, their characters leave or die, and in the next couple of weeks they're barely mentioned, if at all. Eventually, you'll see an episode later on that mentions them. Like the writers suddenly remembered, "oh yeah, remember so and so? Whatever happened to them... didn't we kill them or something?" So they give a brief shout out, then next week, it's back to normal.

Either lazy writers or overly complicated plot, sometimes both.

Good point..

Shouldn't Hurley be a little more broken up since his lady got capped less than a week ago?

I suppose crying fat guy doesn't necessarily make for good TV.. but..

Yeah he did have super duper strength. Jack looks like he can handle himself but Ethan picked him up and chucked him around like he was nothing.

Plus, that bloke who Ethan supposedly killed on the beach when they didn't bring Clare to him. They said he had every bone broken in his body so how could he do that so quickly without being super strong, or the help of the black smoke.

Bingo! In the Ethan episode you discribe above Ethan said that the man he kill was a "bad person" and "he wasn't on the list". Can we say that the black smoke killed that bloke, not Ethan? Just like the black smoke killed Ecko.

Ooooh.... Never thought that, good one!

On other note, if they never mentioned Walt/Michael, esp Walt that will totally suck. A series ends and then all the plot revolves around getting Walt back, so they drop it like a ton of bricks.

Just hope it picks up a bit better in Feb as this is my reason for trying to justify a HD TV, SkyHD and an XBox360 (HD doesn't work without this I will tell the misses :D )

Sorry if this has already been answere but couldnt find any info.
I know there is a season break till Feb in the US. Will this be the case in the Uk or will we go ahead without the season break??

No they are gonna break as well. Episode 6 is due to show on Sky on Christmas Eve I think so the break will be shorter than the USA but will still not be back on until Feburary time.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
so frustrating just getting into it and they take a break!!!
i could of been the biggest rating hitter over christmas!!
  :(

Don't worry, you aren't missing much with Season 3. That is, unless soap operas are your thing.

Ever since they killed Eko, the show is dead to me. And not to mention making Jack a whiny little boy, he aggravates me to no end.

Day Break is much better, but that show might be cancelled soon. Heroes looks the most promising as I've been following that series from the beginning. :)

The time change won't affect me because I just TiVo the show anyways. Of course, advertisers won't care because I don't watch their ads.

I just hope the show remains interesting.

Exactly. Lost is just "phoning it in" - there is no mystery or suspense or intrigue anymore - just a bunch of whining and frustrating characters.

Heroes is the only thing worth watching on television, (until rescue me comes back).

I found "The Nine" to be more interesting than "Lost" this season, but it too seems to be "lost" from the TV schedule. Maybe I'll surf teh interweb instead of watching TV on Wednesdays.

They just released a new podcast today and basically the theme was "We know the show sucks this season, and remember it sucked for a while in season 2 too. Hang in there!"

Doesnt give me any hope :) They even addressed that it is possible, although unlikely, that it wont be back for a 4th season.

Ya, I've been watching The Nine also, but it seems to have gone on a hiatus - hopefully it will return with LOST (or sooner).

Although I have a feeling it might be getting the ax. :(

Luckily Medium is still on Wednesdays. :)

That gave me some faith. They know it's going a little rubbish and hopefully they'll fix it. I mean I don't know how American TV shows work. At least they know they have a problem.
