So I take my brand new shiny 3GS in because of a few things that were concerning me. I try my best to keep my products in pristine condition. My phone immediately went into a case when I got it yesterday and didn't even have a fingerprint on it. Anyway, I get to the store and take the case off because I was expecting to have it swapped. Long story short, I ended up keeping it. The best part was when this 'genius' had my unprotected phone in her hands while shuffling through her keys (which were clanking against it) to get her sim card removal tool. After that, she put it on the table and proceeded to slide it around, trying to get the compass to work properly. REALLY? Now I have two very short hairline scratches going through the Apple logo, and who knows what else. I haven't even looked at it. When she was finally done, she said "yeah, I don't see anything wrong with it. If you're still having problems bring it back." If it's worse than I think it is, I definitely will be taking it back. Am I too crazy, or is this just absurd? I was going to say something but I figured I'd save it and just take the phone back if she scratched it up more than I think she did. I just thought these people would have a little more respect for someone else's brand new $300 phone.
