They changed strategy to "Apple must have done this on purpose to get free advertising". ?

Apple must have partnered with Aukey Shenzhen given the prominence of their logo. ?

Remember to buy your next 60W adapter for your MacBook from Aukey!

not that I don't believe this story is true, but The Mac Studio has batteries? Aside from the one that keeps the clock going.... probably a dime sized battery, what's the need for the battery sticker on the outer box?? I've bought lots of things with those dime batteries and no label on the box.... just curious...
Well, in principle you are supposed to disclose lithium metal batteries - no matter how small - on the outside of the box with that sticker if you ship them. Lithium ion batteries get a similar sticker with a different number. Other types of batteries (alkaline, lead-acid, etc) may not require them - I don't know all the rules.

How CONVENIENT! This person just HAPPENS to have a CAMERA with which to take PHOTOS with!

Apple sent this early on purpose to get good publicity.

Typical Apple. Tsk, Tsk. ☝️
You mean like one of those phones that have a camera built-in?

I'm waiting for Marques Brownlee to put a video up 0:01AM 18 March saying "so I've been using the Mac Studio Ultra for a couple of months now, here are my thoughts", shortly followed by Max Tech and Luke Miani...
MaxTech orders them like the rest of us…

What packaging do you expect for a cuboid thing? Apples packaging has always been very clean and minimalistic. I think since the Apple Watch they even stepped it up once more.

I haven’t seen the whole thing but it just doesn’t look clean and minimalist in a good way, which most of their packaging does

A box thats barely bigger than the contents of it plus some protection with a picture of the actual thing and its name on. How would you make that more clean or minimalistic?

They seem to be having problems getting these out. Mine was scheduled to arrive March 21st-22nd. But the apple store app is now saying 1st-5th April :(

Just created an account just to respond to this. I had ordered the BTO M1 Max Mac Studio after 5 minutes after it was available and my order was set to 'prepare to ship' yesterday and the date was between March 21-22. Now suddenly there is also April 1-5 April... (sigh...) Perhaps because of the lockdown in Shenzhen?

Considering the likely demand it’d understandable. But on multiple occasions I’ve had Apple products come a few days early so don’t rule out it coming in the last week of March.

Any shipments that were expected before March 21 seem to be on track. There was a major covid outbreak and the Foxconn factories that make the mac studio was shut down temporarily. Same with UPS operations in the area. I would assume this caused shipments set for March 21 and onwards to be delayed.

My Mac Studio is currently en route to Kentucky for a Friday delivery.

That was great for a chuckle, sometimes I need that badly. Sorry this terminal cancer I have been diagnosed with just really wears on me and wife and daughter. No not looking for a pity party by no means but little things like this just makes me feel much better.

If it is the case you have terminal cancer I’m so very sorry to hear it. I wish you and your family as many happy times together as you can have. ??

It's almost as if their conveniently located phone conveniently has a camera. What a convenience.
Apple has no shame. ? who would do such a thing as this? APPLE would do such a thing

? ha okay that’s probably enough from me, lol.

Yes, I’d never lie about something like that. It is called Advanced End Stage Myelofibrosis. I saw a specialist in Seattle at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance back on January 14th 2021 and he told me that I’d have based upon my hemoglobin numbers that I would have 12-18 months. The only thing that keeps me alive is weekly transfusions if hemoglobin is between 6.9 and 6 it is one unit of blood and if it is below 5.9-5.0 then I sit there for 5 hours for 2 units they did tell me that eventually those will quit doing anything for me. Thank you for the kind words. Sometimes it is really just the small stuff like that one picture I replied to that brings a smile to my face and the person I replied to needed to know, even as trivial as that may have seemed, they did bring a
smile to a random strangers face.

This was all planned in my opinion because if it was genuine, firstly the employee who let it ship would have been sacked because Apple sellers would be under very clear instructions not to ship before it's due date and the internet being what it is we would have heard about the sacking and secondly, the person who recieved it would have had the thing stripped down to show the world what it looks like inside. Other so called 'genuine' mistakes of early shippment of Apple devices the owner has always stripped the thing down to show the world what it looks like. Not so in this case.

We know reviewers on social media are under strict NDA's not to release their review videos because such things have happened before where reviewers have stated they had an item for weeks so they could make a review video ready for when the product is released to the public but an NDA prevented them talking about it.

There would be some reviewers ho would have taken the mac studio apart to show the world whats inside which would coincide as to why this early shipped studio has not be stripped down to show what's inside. It's all been planned to wet the appetite of Apple fans.

Shipping is a pretty automated process, without much human interaction. If the system says to ship an item, it gets shipped. The fact that it wasn't stripped down makes it seem more genuine because most consumers aren't about to take their $2000-$4000 computer apart just because they got it early, when they can start setting it up and use it.

Always fun to see the 'ThIs InTeRnEt ThInG iS fAkE' compulsion.
