I'm annoyed. I ordered within 5 minutes of the store opening and mine is supposedly going to arrive in April. 🤬🤬🤬
I’m beyond annoyed. 4months and still no sign of my 16”MBP!
I believe Simon was one of us waiting for 16”MBP, that got utterly fed up and was about to cancel its order and this was Apple generous way of making amendments😏

Luckily it uses a heavy duty power plug.

If I measured correctly, the USB ports actually match a regular US power plug. Imagine a dummy plugging a power cord on the front... :)

I wonder how many mac sites the guy contacted saying he could give them exclusivity on photo's of the mac studio for a price and Mac4Ever were the ones to bite. Come on MR, own up, I bet you was contacted by this guy but turned him down for reasons.

It took 10y+ for Apple to understand they need to address the prosumers segment, people who want affordable machines for semi-pro usage or small pro, contrary to big corporations, media agencies and creative studios ! People like me :) Great move, a bit late but great !!!

It took 10y+ fr Apple to understand we need an affordable powerful Mac since the new Mac Pro was definitively for big corporations, creative studios, etc...

Sorry post twice

I'm waiting for Marques Brownlee to put a video up 0:01AM 18 March saying "so I've been using the Mac Studio Ultra for a couple of months now, here are my thoughts", shortly followed by Max Tech and Luke Miani...

Only bad thing about a separate monitor with a Mac is the lack of volume control from the keyboard unless you install 3rd party software or use the new Studio Display. Otherwise you’ll be reaching for the volume buttons on the monitor.
I use toslink out to a receiver, so that's not a concern for me. I haven't had keyboard volume control in years!

And yeah, I realize Apple dropped toslink on their M1 systems. I'm going to have to get an USB to toslink adapter when I do upgrade. At least they're cheap. :)

How CONVENIENT! This person just HAPPENS to have a CAMERA with which to take PHOTOS with!

Apple sent this early on purpose to get good publicity.

Typical Apple. Tsk, Tsk. ☝️

Probably because more people connect it to an amplifier or powered speakers than to headphones.
Yup, that's what I do. My current iMac has a toslink adapter and cable coming out of the back, going around the room to an a/v receiver. If the jack were on the front, or on the side like the current iMacs, it would be awkward.

Though it's moot for me since Apple dropped toslink and you need a USB adapter anyway. It's one of their more frustrating recent decisions.

Fake for sure, no way Apple brought back the handle. I'm all for it but that's giving me some serious iBook and Powerbook packaging vibes.
If memory serves me correctly, that handle looks similar to the one on the box for my M1 iMac but I'm too lazy to get up and check to be sure.

I'm sure when people get products early it's not by mistake it so that it generates free marketing for Apple or any other company that sends stuff earlier than they announce.

Good on the person, if it’s at the store and ready to go, why not send it out.
Because the product is embargoed until 18 March. Obviously the stores have to be geared-up to dispatch all this kit in readiness for the release date, but they're not supposed to actually dispatch it.

not that I don't believe this story is true, but The Mac Studio has batteries? Aside from the one that keeps the clock going.... probably a dime sized battery, what's the need for the battery sticker on the outer box?? I've bought lots of things with those dime batteries and no label on the box.... just curious...

Where are the “fake box” crowd this morning? ?

”He must have 3D printed the chassis!” ?
