It'd be gutting if the two people in the world who could afford this used Android handsets. :p

on their website they are selling t-shirts for $142 with the company logo
and some of you thought the apple watch is exspensive

0-255 in just 20 seconds, I wonder how many Gs you'd feel with that kind of acceleration? That's impressive, and deadly.

250 mph = 112 m/s, 112/20 = an average acceleration of 5.6 m/s^2. That's less than 1G.

Humans can tolerate a LOT of acceleration through the chest, back in the 70s voluntary tests were done and the peak survivable is something like 80Gs. Apollo launches were something like 8-9Gs.

Why don't they change their name? What a stupid name for a sports car. Sports cars are supposed to have COOL names like Ferrari, Lotus, McLaren, Lamborghini, etc.

Koenigseggs? Sounds like an overpriced brand of organic eggs at the yuppie grocery store or whatever.

:D

The wheels are the symbol for biohazard.

The disc brake and hub really make it entirely complete, even. Is that really a good thing?

My first thought. CarPlay? I'm sold. I was looking elsewhere but CarPlay convinced me. Time to sell the minivan and get this Koenigsegg.

Your minivan should cover the portion of the dash that contains the CarPlay functionality...actually that might not be enough. :p

I have to admit, I laughed when I read this.

Whilst this is great news, and frankly an excuse to oggle some car pornogaphy! I would LOVE to nail this and experience that 20 seconds to 248mph acceleration!!!

It's a tad pointless as what cars offer car play that normal people buy? Aren't Audi supposed to be offering it? I'm not sure..

meh who cares, this car is the mutts bits, those Swedes are utterly mad! Oh and FYI they are calling this a megacar, as it frankly thrashes ANY hyper car on the market by quite a margin.. on paper at least.

A top fuel dragster accelerates from 0-100 in about .8 of a second and covers the 1/4 mile in under 4 seconds at about 330mph.

The running joke from Top Gear is the name is spelled Koenigseggisseggggnignigsegigisegggnigseggniggsegg. Change the name? That's crazy talk. Christian von Koenigsegg is simply following a long tradition of using the family name as the name of the company. Some other COOL car companies following that tradition:

Bruce McLaren
Enzo Ferrari
Ferruccio Lamborghini
Ferdinand Porsche
Ettore Bugatti
Horacio Pagani

It takes time to build history and a reputation. CvK is well on his way.

I did giggle at the egg joke. Nicely done.:D

I'm liking the automotive articles in macrumors.

There is only one Top Gear which is the UK. :D

You don't believe the US, aus, Russian , South korean versions were as good ;) maybe the France or Chinese versions will lift the bar .....

I guess General Motors was taken.... A General Motors Chevrolet Corvette z06 , think the yuppies at the organic egg store will be impressed

And is not road legal ;)

for sure, I'm not one of the one percenters. I didn't know this world even existed. almost 2 mil for a car is a bit beyond my reach.
I'll start saving up my allowance.

How do they even make money??? All the material, parts, labor, R&D, marketing, sales... certainly costs more than the $150million they'll make from the sale of this car...
