I think YouTube still plays content using VP9. make sure it is turned on. it is on the develop menu, experimental features.
Videos download for me using VP9, not AV1. Make sure it is turned on: Develop/Experimental Features. I'm not even seeing an AV1 option, nor any videos playing it. On Youtube check the stats for Nerds on a video"AV1 decoding"
Mine are all uniform. If it bothers you (e.g. you can feel the difference etc) then perhaps return it for another.Off topic but has anyone else noticed that keys on the keyboard aren’t all aligned properly? I’ve got about 4 keys which are tilted more upward than others and it is super distracting, especially as one of those keys is the space bar! Thinking I will ask for a replacement in about a month or so when stock improves
Apple didn't pay for any beta testers, some how they got testers to pay apple. That’s an expensive Beta test.
While it's true being apple to reproduce the bug is vital for it being fixed, not all bugs are easy to fix just because of that.Seems pretty easy to recreate, so I'm sure it will be a simple enough fix.
Haven't seen it once on my Max.This appears to affect all models.
BL.
I got lucky to get one at my local Apple Store the day they were released. The one I ordered online would have been delivered in two weeks.I am still waiting for mine, bought it on launch day. It’s supposed to be coming by the 17th of November.
Many have returned there’s because of the notch. You think there will be plenty of MacBooks to go around.
As shocking as it may be to you, yes, millions of people use YouTube every day.Is anyone still using YouTube?
Seems like a very minor issue to me.
Exchange hardware because software crashes... ?I'm getting the same error under the same conditions, 4k HDR YouTube playback on Safari/Chrome. At first I thought it could have been some Chrome bug but then it crashed in Safari too. I'm running Monterey 12.0.1, 16 inch M1 Max with 32GB RAM. I haven't tried the workarounds yet. I'm thinking I should just exchange it, not sure.
Macrumors has found a new gold. Just publishes a few crashes/glitches they saw in the forum. As shocking as it may be to you, yes, millions of people use YouTube every day.
My intel Mac Pro with 96GB of RAM shuts down and reboots all the time, when I am dealing with 4K video in Premiere 2021. Frustrating and reminds me of pre-OS X days.Oh well, intel wasn't that bad..
Because it is not happening to all machines, how can you conclude it is software instead of hardware?Exchange hardware because software crashes... ?
