Look at Matthew Moniz going against the grain and actually getting something that isn't midnight lol.

What is the exact weight between 2.65 lb to 2.74 lb, since 2.7 appears to be a rounded number?

I have an open 14” MacBook Pro order with Amazon, but I’d be remiss to not at least consider the new MacBook Air.

Truth be told I’ve been hoping to replace my MacBook Pro with a MacBook Air one day, and the M2 could provide enough performance for my needs.

I'm sorry, I just can't buy all this. Here in Europe the price tag is way to expensive, and the base model (8GB/256GB) doesn't cut it (256GB of SSD this day and age is very little). Then, if you start adding memory and storage you're already hitting the 14" M1 Pro MBP zone, which is a way better system.

17% increase performance (GB5) compared to the M1, when executing non-sustained performance tests.
Almost 30% drop in performance in WildLife Extreme compared to the M2 MBP.

Heck, the M1 MacBook Air scored 4498 points in WildLife Extreme, while the M2 MBA scores 4953 (while throttling), that's only 455 points more, a mere 10% increase while throttling. And all of this while consuming more power.

To me its def. not worth the 40% price increase compared to the stock M1 MBA. Sure you're getting the new body, magsafe, screen and what not, but the machine itself is not going to perform substantially better than the M1 MBA.

One of her lows was her Tim Cook "interview" where she could only cry "Oh really? Great!" For example, when Tim Cook stated the iPhone 13 Pro is basically a pro [large-sensor with very shallow depth of field] movie camera in one's pocket, she didn't point out Cook's statement basically a lie.

I’m not sure you understand what a “lie” is.

But also… did you expect Tim Cook to nerd out on cameras? That’s… not really his area of expertise?

It's definitely a lie to state the iPhone 13 WRT shallow depth-of-field completely equals a large-sensor, expensive movie camera. The latter are capable of shallow depth-of-field by hardware (large sensor + bright, not very wide lens combo) w/o any software simulation. And the latter still produces dreadful results, even in the latest iOS version / latest hardware.

Imagine they could get the price down to like $799 in the US and under $999 or under in most other countries whose dollar is lower like Canada. This thing could seriously eat into Microsoft's market share.

In My Humble Opinion, soldered RAM and SSD makes it FAR from PERFECT, let alone NEAR it...

Say what you want about Windows laptops, but if you buy the right one, you can upgrade the hell out of it. A while back, I bought an HP gaming laptop with modest specs, (8 core i7, 512GB SSD, 16GB RAM, Ti 1070 video with 6GB, Thunderbolt 3 port for $999) and converted it easily (8 screws, back cover pops right off) into 64GB RAM and 2+8 TB storage (2 SSD M.2 slots).

And its pretty thin too, so I don't buy that whole "if you want it to be thin, everything has to be soldered" nonsense. Total cost: $2,800. My Macbook Pro (8 core i9, 64GB RAM, 8TB SSD) was $5500 back in 2019. Built an equally powerful Windows laptop (more if you consider 10TB storage vs 8TB) for half the price. (I do a lot of video stuff, so I need a lot of storage and external drives are too cumbersome.)

He has subordinates etc. who could explain to him why software just can't emulate shallow DoF done by real cameras in hardware if he doesn't otherwise understand it himself. Many (proper) iPhone reviews also explained this along with showing incredibly ugly-looking effects of shallow DoF simulation done by iPhones.

Never dispoints to see the sexism in here by users having to constantly put down ijustine just because she general enjoys tech, even though she gave you a comparison most of you wanted. (14 inch to air.)

personally, having watched a bunch of the videos, I’m glad I’m waiting for there 14 pro m2. And no way I’d get midnight. Silver or starlight it is.
So you know the thoughts and ideologies of every individual who is cynical or critical of iJustine to assume sexism is at play here?
