Given recent developments with the SSDs on 13" MacBook Pros, I would exercise caution until 3rd party benchmarks and reviews are out.
They will not be. They usually show up in store the day of release, so next Friday.Does anyone know whether the new MBAs will be in display at Apple stores today?
No. Next week.Does anyone know whether the new MBAs will be in display at Apple stores today?
Just out of curiosity do we have any numbers how many 8Gb MB and MBAs Apple sells vs +16Gb? Because as much as the enthusiasts always bemoan about it starting with 8Gb, I recon that's plenty for most users and the sales numbers probably also reflect that.
Why do you need a spare MagSafe cable? Don't have any USB-Cs lying around that you could use as backup? There needs to be a new word for the feeling that you have when you open up the spare color-matched Midnight Mag-Safe cable that arrives more than a week before your M2 MBA.
Many consumers are swayed by the packaging and may want the M2 Air due to the new body and visual appearance. The M1 looks dated IMO, and $200 isn't too bad to get newer tech and a sexy new look.
If the M2 "looked" exactly like the M1, I agree, very little reason to upgrade for a "regular" (ie. non-forum reader) person. IMO.
What took you that long? You snooze, you lose.I bought the base model with 16GB Ram and 512GB SSD 2 minutes after it went live and the pickup date was July 22, 2022

I think they are producing these Macs for a long time. There was a rumor that these were supposed to shop earlier. They definitely took the time to pile up, because the demand will be high.
might be because people don’t want to pay the tax And they haven’t experienced the problems of such small ram. 8 is fine for surfing and playing. Serious use and it bogs down. My M1 mini with 8gb is a joke for any serious use. Apple will never change their theiving waysJust out of curiosity do we have any numbers how many 8Gb MB and MBAs Apple sells vs +16Gb? What mag safe adapter. I thought it came with mag safe standard. confused.I ordered the bog standard 8gb/512mb model at 5:05 PST and got a date of July 18.
Trying to work (too) quickly I mistakenly forgot to select the Mag-Safe adapter and instead the order has the USB-2. II called to try to get it switched but told it's not possible without cancelling the order and going to the back of the line, which I didn't want to do. Any ideas about how I might be able to switch this?
It does lol. The only thing that changes is the actual wall charger. What mag safe adapter. I thought it came with mag safe standard. confused.
Congratulations! Wait, how come you didn’t get the mid-night version?Base/16/512/Starlight/fast charge ordered immediately with a 7/20-22 delivery window.
1500€ is a normal price in Europe. But we’re living in socialist paradise.8/256 for 1549€ and 8/512 for 1899€, what a rip off.
This is not Apple tax. They make money only on high tier configurations.I do think that is stupid as well.
Also a 400.00 uplift to 24GB of ram is highway robbery, but I know this is Apple tax. Just wanted to vent
