how can they even tease the annoucement now? there is something in the air screamed macbook air but we know how that turned out.
It could still happen this week. Shoot, MR released news of the iPad upgrades around 6:00AM PST (before opening of business in Cupertino for those not in the US), so the MBA announcement could still happen this afternoon.

meh i dont think it could still happen today would have been released the same time as the ipads
so basically all the rumored spring updates have been done accept for the macbook air?

I’m guessing the M4 MBA gets announced tomorrow. Notice how Tim Cook said “this week” with the air teaser vs. “Wednesday, February 19” for the iPhone 16e teaser.
that wont happen. they would never skip a version
iMac was M1 then M3. no reason they wouldn't do the same with Mac Air
accept for the macbook air is now low on stock which means a release is imminent
they wont wait till the fall to release with a m5 chip
The iMac and Mac mini have a long history of skipping chip generations. It's even more true for the Mac Pro. Not so for the MacBook Air. That doesn't come as a huge surprise though, since Apple sells far, far more laptop units than desktop units.
when do we think they are being announced then? someone metioned tomorrow, i mentioned next week, other possible dates?
