Here's a question - will Apple tell people a date for Lion before they release it? I know they release hardware and software unannounced all the time, but have they ever done that for a new Operating System release?
Granted, in the past they've announced a date specifically so people could show up and pick up a hard copy. Do you think it will be different with digital distribution?
Any guesses?
Definitely down in Northern Ireland, hopefully thats a good sign.

I doubt this is linked to Lion. Apple doesn't need to take down the app store to add an application to it, why would Lion be different?
LOL....He's saying that by reading what he said, time just elapsed off the overall time until Lion is released...It was a clever way to say something...
source?
Down here in Scotland (and I'd imagine the rest of the UK).
Why would the App Store need to go down to release Lion?
Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8J2 Safari/6533.18.5)
My guess is that it will replace iCloud on the homepage with an OS X Lion etc pic "Now Available Only at The Mac App Store". This will cause all the people who think they have a 4G iPhone to go down to an Apple Store only to find out there are no retail boxes.
I doubt we will see a pre announcement. Just a come n get it on the Apple homepage. And of course front and center in the Mac App Store.
