I think there might be a confusion in this article over the Ming-Chi Kuo's note. I believe he's talking about watch screen diagonal size when referring to 39.9mm and 45.6mm. Not the watch case height (which is currently 38mm and 42mm), whereas the MacRumors article compares these sizes interchangeably, making it sound like the new watches will be significantly bigger. Current screen diagonals on AW are 33.3mm (on a 38mm watch) and 38mm (on a 42mm watch).

What I think is happening is that they are going to have a 39.9mm diagonal screen on a 38mm height watch, and 45.6mm screen on a 42mm watch. These sizes seem possible with some screen bezel reductions, and if they accomplish it, it's going to look very cool. It's going to be hard to even be mentally reminded that a screen exists, with how close to the edges it will be.

Excellent points. The new watches could adopt the bezel-less design of the iPhone X, with larger screen areas in the same or similar footprint to the current models. Someone should do the arithmetic to calculate the minimum size of a watch needed to accommodate 39.9 and 45.6 mm screens measured diagonally, assuming the H/W ratio remains the same. I'd do it myself but my trig is really rusty.

I know it will never happen but easy access to GPU and SSD/HDD in the iMac would be a solid. I mean a GPU dies and unless you spend 1500 to get it fixed then this beautiful screen goes to waste. I suppose its great for displaying my target disk mode logo. or make target display mode work concurrently with target disk mode.

Many of the Apple loyalists including myself will evaporate and seek other avenues for efficient, effective, and reliable computer desktop hardware if Apple fails to deliver this Fall with their Mac lineup. If Apple fails to enthrall and capture the world with spectacular Mac hardware then we’ll know that the historical shift to iPhone and iPad was intentional and permanent. For then, if Apple fails, I and many others will be seeking other vendors and dump Apple including their touted iPhone and iPad..

-I won't buy a Mac desktop computer until there's a Mac Pro with user-upgradeable components.
-I won't buy a Mac laptop until there's a MacBook Pro with actual ports (SD, HDMI) and a functional keyboard.

macOS is still my favorite OS... but if Apple keeps committing suicide with their hardware, I won't be able to buy their products. They either need to make Macs that DON'T suck, or open up macOS to other PC manufacturers.

I replaced my AW0 with a Series 3 LTE last week. I chose not to wait. :) (Don't care about a larger display and I'm happy with the current model.) All I can say is WOW!

I'm just sorry I waited as long as I did—but I was was using it as a reward and my tasks took a lot longer than I expected.
why man? 2 months till new one

Thats too many updates in one sitting. Expect disappointment. Those watching Apple for decade swill know how much roughly they can get through in an special event. Thats too much. If so most of it will be silent upgrades IE Processor bumps.

I believe it will be 120Hz (with ProMotion). As for a larger display, it’s possible but at 32”, I would expect it to be the 8K panel and it would be on the iMac Pro, as well as one of their displays.

With the new display, the Apple Watch is expected to achieve that display increase without a change to the overall size.

It’s important to remember that the display aspect ratio will be changes as well, resulting in the larger screen size. This also means the 12.9” wont be 12.9”. So it would actually be a higher resolution in total, I while would love that resolution scaling although many prefer it how it is. But aside from that, the aspect ratio change could lead Apple to have 3 app side by side multitasking, but even without that it will still be beneficial for multitasking, media, reading, etc.
That last item is a good point. Like the iPhone X getting taller but not really wider (in UI scale). I keep forgetting about that. This would mark the first aspect ratio change in the iPad ever! Finally. This will be great for users like me who like the smaller form factor but wish we had more room for toolbars and things in various pro apps.

I don't care about the latest and greatest. And assuming October for Apple Watch, that's three months, not 2. As much as I rely on my Watch, I don't care to wait when I can be enjoying it now. And at my age, having cellular connectivity when I don't have my iPhone or it's not in Bluetooth range could be literally a matter of life or death.

Yes, with absolutely no ports. Wireless charging, Bluetooth mouse, and keyboard via Handoff.
It should have a bunch of ports, but if it needs a dongle to plug in hdmi and usb interfaces that’s alright. Obviously it’ll have Bluetooth and WiFi for connecting to the new low cost notebook! Wireless charging is cool, and it better have a 24 hour battery.

I'm 90% sure my next laptop won't be from Apple. Chromebooks are getting Linux apps and as a secondary machine for dev I really only need a browser + Sublime Text + terminal.

On the desktop I will keep using my 5K iMac for a couple of years but I really don't see myself moving to Windows. Maybe in 2022 or so things will be different.

120hz rate + variable refresh rate for reading documents, thinner bezels I would hope:)

Doubt they'll change the design, especially the bezels, a much desired feature like that would really upset a lot of iMac Pro users if it came to the iMac first. I think design changes will hit the iMac Pro then filter down to the iMac later.

Hope it does, thought, I'm in for one as soon as its available
