Do we really need another low cost notebook? There is macbook and macbook air. They should merge those and leave it as it is. Just give more ports for crying out loud. Who wants a notebook with just one port that can't even be charged at the same time when using another peripheral :)
All we need is macbook, macbook pro line when it comes to notebook line. No need for mess

The idea is that Apple would eliminate the MacBook Air line and would introduce a new, inexpensive MacBook.

Apple is working on updates across its entire product line for the second half of 2018, according to a new investor's note shared by reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, with refreshes expected for iPhone, iPad, Mac mini , MacBook Pro, iMac, and Apple Watch.
  • iPad - Apple is working on two new 11 and 12.9-inch models that are equipped with a full-screen design and no Home button, with Apple to replace Touch ID with Face ID.
  • Mac mini - Processor upgrades expected.
Kuo doesn't provide details on when we might see refreshes to Apple's other product lines, but the company could be planning to launch all of the refreshes at its annual September event.

In the past, Apple has also held separate October events when there is a heavy fall product lineup to unveil, so Macs and iPads could come in that month.

How long is that Mac Mini thread(s)?

You guys seem to forget that the last hardware event was last September. A full on year of being silent, until the event where these will show up... They have no choice but to knock it out of the park.

And who can forget the debut of the wireless charger. :D

  • New Low-Priced Notebook
- Kuo believes Apple is designing a new low-priced notebook. He originally said that this would be in the MacBook Air family, but now has changed his mind. Previous rumors have suggested this machine could be a 12-inch MacBook.

This is the one everyone is anticipating from the Mac line

Bring on the Apple Watch! My series 0 is in dire need of a replacement.
I replaced my AW0 with a Series 3 LTE last week. I chose not to wait. :) (Don't care about a larger display and I'm happy with the current model.) All I can say is WOW!

I'm just sorry I waited as long as I did—but I was was using it as a reward and my tasks took a lot longer than I expected.

I had hoped Mac Mini will be released before the Fall 2018.
Any Mac mini rumor is good news at this point. Though a return to quad-core for the mini is very likely given Intel's Coffee Lake chips, the big unknown is whether or not it will make a return to upgradable RAM and go SSD / Fusion drive only. A Mac mini with quad-core (hex-core as a high-end option), 2x Thunderbolt 3 / USB-C, PCIe SSD, and upgradable RAM would be great.

The 5K iMac's display resolution is fine, but the MacBook Pro does need a resolution bump. Plenty of PC manufacturers have been selling laptops with 2160p displays for years now, while the MacBook Pro is still stuck at 1800p and needing a non-native resolution to achieve the same amount of screen space.
maybe he says we will get promotion and not a res bump

My Series 0 Watch is still fine, but it is slower than molasses and is now EOL in terms of OS updates so I will eventually need to replace it and a larger one could be cool.

And all I want in a new Mac Mini is TB3 and a fast SSD so if we get that I am satisfied, but of course I hope there is more (standard or via options) for the rest of those who have been waiting so many years for a refresh.

Is this is true then it sounds good to me.

Although as someone who follows the latest developments in the world of CPU's and GPU's I'm very curious as to what processors they will be putting in the updated Macbook? 10nm isn't ready yet and I haven't seen any worthwhile low power Coffee Lake or Whisky Lake chips.

Disappointed in the iPhone news. By all means have a cheaper iPhone but make it a 5" or smaller design, not a giant 6"+ model. What are people like my wife going to buy? She already thinks my 4.7" 6S is too big.

I've been VERY tempted to just bite the bullet on a series 3, but I'm holding back for now lol. We'll see how long that lasts :D

Likewise, I'd be interested in a 40mm display Apple Watch if the 42mm watch bands fit.

I'm hoping the increased screen sizes don't break band support. That would mean that 38mm bands work on the new 40mm model, and similarly for the new bigger watch. I don't think current 42mm bands will work on the new 40mm model.
