What if they plan to release the new Mac Mini AND rMBP at the same time, in a few weeks? Any chance of that? :D

I am very excited! Besides Haswell and additional RAM/SSD/Fusion options, I wonder what else we'll see.

Will we see Thunderbolt 2.0? If so, that could mean a new Thunderbolt Display soon!

When there were no mini updates at WWDC I decided to buy one. I'm gonna be a sad panda if my 2 month old Mac Mini is already out of date.

The 2012 mini is such a great machine. I put a fusion drive in mine and it just purrs. Can't wait to see what future revisions hold for the mini.

If the past is any indication of the future the mini will soon be the desktop machine for the 99%.

One of my favourite Apple Computers, the only problem is I want a dedicated graphics card. I game occasionally, and would love something decent on the Mac Mini, I'm sure it's possible now that Ivy-Bridge is released..

I'm also hoping Apple doesn't make the refresh thinner, the Mac Mini already has a tiny footprint, I'd rather have dedicated graphics.

You know If Apple would only adopt AMD APU's on the Mac Mini's it would change everything, because the integrated graphics on the APU's perform extraordinarily well.

I wonder what the likely hood of getting the Iris Pro in the mac mini's would be?

[The new Mac Mini] will use the same chips that go into the rMBP.

That seems unlikely. The 13" rMBP update will certainly use Iris 5100 graphics, the 15" rMBP update will certainly use Iris Pro 5200 graphics, and the Mac Mini will probably use HD 4600 graphics.

Infinitesimal.

I was thinking about that... That would be hilarious. In reality, if they were to redesign it, it would probably be a small cylinder, but it wouldn't make sense to redesign it and lose the stacking/stand capability that the current shape gives.

Introducing the iPuck...

Haswell minis! Just think of that improved battery life! :)

Who knows what they will add, but they probably will remove the FW800 and the IR receiver since no new Mac designs have these.

Sad day for me since I use both, but at least my 3 3-year-old minis continue to function fine.

Of course this will happen, because I finally broke down and bought one two weeks ago.

Oh well, I got a refurb for $509. It'll be a while before we see the new ones in the refurb store.

I'd guess the mini will use HD 5000 graphics, like the MacBook Airs.

if you mean fan noise? then you've never used a mac mini. mine sounds like a jet engine half the day. (2011)

I have two 2012 minis. Both are near silent. Maybe the 2011 models are noiser?

I'm ready for another one, going to make it my e-mail machine, or demote an older one to that task if they've improved the video enough.

Then it's bring on the New MacPro Turbo, I've already worked out the flames paint scheme, and I'm buying one last Big Box MacPro Model as well and painting it "Hazard Yellow".

It will be a busy Fall.
