About 2.5 hours or less, depending on where you live, judging from the post times.

And as for the Powerbook G5 gag, at least discussing whether or not it's funny anymore passes the time before the store comes back up. ;)

The US will be the first to know. After all, Apple is in the US.

The UK Apple Store Is Down for 'Maintenance'

This could be it... wow there was me thinking i'd be first one to post... WRONG!!

Is a consumer user, not a business user, really going to pay for a multi license version of ANY OS to install on say their own laptop and desktop at home? I believe the answer would be in the vast majority of cases.... no!

I bought my daughter a macbook a couple for months ago and I will be picking up a iMac, it looks like in a couple of weeks. It will have Leopard installed but will still buy a copy and not steal one for her computer and I am a long way from Cupertino. So I think you might be wrong in your assumption. By any OS could you possibly mean that other one. Anyway on with the show.

Is everyone hitting the refresh button every five seconds on Apple's home page or is it just me?

I'm hitting the refresh here instead - reckon the news will be through pretty fast and stops me checking all the stores :)

I just checked www.ebuyer.co.uk and the retail price for a single licence Vista Premium DVD is £275.00 inc VAT.

iirc Tiger Family Pack of 5 licences is/was £189.00 inc VAT.

I know where I'd rather put my money. ;)
