Same here - guess we ain't gettin our new cat tomorrow. Oh well. :(

Add me to the list of the UTD's that are still stuck in "Not Yet Shipped". Oh well I'll go hang out at the Apple store and play with the demos then come home and read all of the gloating posts from people that got their Leopard today. :(

I got the future delivery requested too! And now it says will come by Oct 29!

I called FedEx and they said that it will still come today, all of these Apple order's have been doing this. So we'll see.

"We've got thousands to deliver just to this zip code."

US zip code 10002 (nyc) - family pack. Originally scheduled with an estimate of by 10:30AM then a Delivery exception at 10:24 and rescheduled for 6:00 PM. Delivered 12:32.

I asked the driver if he had many of these boxes. He said they had thousands. I asked if that was for the lower east side and he said just for this zip code - half his truck was full of them, he'd be delivering them for a week (probably an exaggeration). He thought they were iPods. I said no, they were the new operating system - blank stare. Software, programs, I said. For the iPod he asked? No, for the Mac. That seemed to make sense to him. I told him he'd make a lot of people happy today. He smiled and headed on to the next block.

Just received my copy (Montreal), time to archive and install. :)

I'm hoping I don't get that blue screen of death that is being reported on Apple Discussions. :(

In heaven

The Puralator guy just came and now I have Leopard in my hands(Vancouver). He said he has already delivered over 30 of them. And lots more to go he said. Can't wait to get started

I purchased my iMac on Sept 9th.

Hopefully it will come just when I'm picking up my brand new SR Macbook lol (prob not)

Got mine!
I can't stop starring at the box.

Installing... The DVD is being checked for consistency  Just install the damn thing already.

october 29

yea so i got an email from apple and it says my up to date shipped yesterday (25th) and will come in on the 29th. i find it a little more than mildly annoying that apple makes utd wait longer:mad: but w/e. i think its being shipped by usps.

Leopard delayed...

I'm in San Diego - FedEx told me they had mechanical and weather problems that delayed my shipment (listed as originating in Schaumburg, IL). Won't be here until Monday! Bummer!

Not necessarily... when you register for UTD, Apple only asks you for your date of purchase.
Yes, necessarily. To qualify, you had to make the purchase on or after October 1st.

The automated system asks for the date of purchase and the serial number. If you enter September 9th for your date of purchase, the system rejects you.

What would happen if you entered a date after Oct 1st and your serial number?

You would be committing fraud.

Would it work though is what I'm asking? I'd assume that if you registered your serial number before Oct 1 and then put in a different date of purchase later with that serial number that it wouldn't work?

Changes to status

Looks like institutional purchases have been moved back, at least my media set for my volume purchase. The licensing documents are on the way though, just the media sets are delayed. From this mornings email:

Due to an unexpected delay, we are unable to ship the following item(s)
by the date that you were originally quoted:

MB004Z/A, MAC OS X 10.5 SVR UNLCLIENTSINGLELIC-INT
will now ship on or before
Nov 05, 2007

MB027ZM/A, MAC OS X 10.5 MEDIA SET-ZML
will now ship on or before
Nov 05, 2007

Please note that product availability can change rapidly, and it is
possible that your order may ship much sooner than we anticipate.

It was set to ship by Oct 26. It OK though, I kind of wanted to test it for a few weeks before deploying it over the entire lab, and my Powerbook.

I'm getting the same message.

But Apple said my MBP would be in last Thursday, and it came on the Monday. So I'm hopeful that Leopard will come tomorrow, a day early.

Where are people having their leopard shipped from (purchased from Apple)? I was surprised that mine is coming from Ontario. There also seems to be such a range of shipping methods (FedEx, UPS, TNT, USPS).
