Just got a text message from my wife. The new cat has been delivered! Arrived at 12 noon just before she was going to go out to take the dog for a walk (so that was lucky!)

I can't believe I'm out tonight and won't get to install the new OS until tomorrow, but I will be reading everyone elses posts with great interest this afternoon.

Happy days :D

Just hope she doesn't take the cat for a walk and you install the dog... :D

Still not got mine yet

i'm like a pining dog, everytime i hear a car door shut i'm up at the window looking for UPS trucks :D

No good looking for those, mine came via TNT ;)

Hmm, someone told me they were being sent via UPS, guess it depends on the area really, just spotted a royal mail van, just drove right past though :(

Probably end up getting it tomorrow now, everytime i order something it always turns up a few later then it says it's due

If i don't know who it's being delivered through, is there anyway i can track it still?

You're in Portsmouth, so it will be coming via sailing ship; get your telescope out ;)

If you look at your order on the Apple Store, view your order and then choose "Track this shipment" it says who's shipping it on the left hand side of the screen under "Assigned carrier". If you make a note of the Carrier Tracking Number you can go to http://cgi.tnt.co.uk/trackntrace/trackntrace.asp and type the number in the box to see exactly where your parcel is. Make sure you choose "Consignment Number" if it's not already selected. (Assuming it's TNT which in the UK it almost certainly is for Leopard.)

Perhaps now's not a good time to mention that mine says "Delivered at 12:12" (sorry... not very tactful that. Ahem! Hope yours arrives soon!!!!)

Try telling that to Bernie Ecclestone :D

It's ok, his wife can have it :D

Thanks for that, ot got a consignment number on there , but it says it's out for delivery, guess there's more people receiving it then i expected!

Just in the middle of backing up my data, any way of burning my keychains onto a disc?

If you specifically want to back up your keychains then copy the contents of the folder ~/Library/Keychains/ to somewhere safe (where, of course ~ is your user folder). If you've done a backup or better still a clone of your drive then it's likely to have stored this for you anyway.

BTW a good clone tool is SuperDuper (http://www.shirt-pocket.com/SuperDuper) which is free for a complete backup.

Thanks, i thought it was that folder, but just wanted to double check. Not doing a full backup as don't have a external HD yet, just dragging my important files etc onto some dvds, iDisc or iPod

My Leopard's still in the cage waiting for my backup to finish...

Got it in Tokyo local time around 7:30 pm. Said all the t-shirts were gone, so the giveaway was less 500 and more like 5. The shop was only slightly more crowded than usual.

One thing with Leopard - what's with the purple? Gawd.

Come on Superduper...

Just rang the TNT guys up to see where it is, said it'll be here by 6 at the latest, not happy!

Why do delivery people hate me so much :(

got it

I don't know what the big hula hoop is... but i got my OX 10.5 yesterday. I'm sure everyone who ordered one will be getting it by today.
So let's talk about something we don't know...
like when iPod touch will have calendar input! :)

Delivery Exception??

So I had Leopard shipped to my office - guaranteed by 10:30AM. At 10:00, I notice that there's a Delivery Exception and now it's guaranteed by 4:00PM. Well, there were twenty people here all day - we didn't miss the delivery or anything. Sure enough, a call to FedEx revealed that Apple called Fedex and told them it was OK to deliver the package later in the day. They're checking now to see if the driver is in the vicinity - if he is, they'll have him drop it off early anyway. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr...

"But will not work with Apple Software"

I was shocked to hear the some of Apples biggest software products will not work on the new Leaopord

50% of my business is done on Filemaker Pro

Yes an Apple Product

In small print it now say

Apple does not reccomend you use Leapord as it will not work correctly with File maker Pr

That s the Pot calling the kettle Black

My God

It'll all be ok!
