Take Virex out

Don't need it for a short while anyway. They should come up with a compatible version soon. Although I'm shocked that they haven't yet, since 10.4 has been available to developers for a LONG TIME!

You need to remove all traces of Virex, it has settled down now.

I don't know about that! Seems like people who are getting it today, like my friends down the block, ordered it like two and three days ago. Us early birds are getting put at the end of the line... should be the other way around!

I think I ordered mine about the 8th...?? I am not sure. But it looks like Tiger is shipping faster outside US. Just a guess though

Judging by how the ordering system is panning out, I wonder if orders are organized using a stack data structure. :D

Ordered on the 13th, had Prepared for Shipment or whatever last night, no tracking on TNT in the morning but got home from work to find it shipped and is now either on it's way from Nuneaton to Swansea or will be through tonight, then in the morning from Swansea to me, so backing up stuff tonight I think. :)

That's what mine said up until 3:30pm yesterday when I received my shipment notification e-mail. Apple Store said two-day shipment however Fedex attempted delivery already by 10:30am this morning. Don't give up just yet!

If you argue enough then they will give it you, i tried that and it worked. Just have proof you are a student, like the amercian equivalent of our National Union of Students (NUS) card.

You couldn't have ordered it from apple on the 8th. They didn't start taking orders until the 12th...

I want Tiger now

So are you saying that you never got email from Apple or a FedEx number... it just showed up at your house? If so, this could be good news for those of us left out in the cold!

8:46 left the origin, it has been18 hours since that. It takes only about 3 hours to get here. How long does take to redistribute it and deliver? :mad:
 
I didn't bother to order Tiger through mail order because I doubt whether it'll get here on time.

Instead I'll just go down to compusmart or somewhere where i'll be guaranteed to get a copy.
 
Virex needs a Tiger update....don't install it.

Are you a dot mac subscriber and installed Virex? Switch to 'All Processes' in Activity Monitor to see it. My 1 GHz TiBook was running at 100% processor load with nothing running. This is after a Clean install, and Virex was the cuplrit (which autostarts at Login). Use spotlight to find and remove anything and everything to do with 'Virex' and 'Vsheild', there are a bunch of pref files in addition to the application that need to be trashed. I removed them and my PBook runs cool as a cucumber. :) The need a Tiger upgrade for Virex methinks...

Really! I really expected to see it arrive in Newark at around midnight. I think I'll call FedEx

Alrite then, but just remember it for future. My £6 card (which I already had) saved me like £30 (half the amount I actually paid) - well worth it.
