Mine should ship exactly 2 hours and 13 minutes ahead of yours. Otherwise it's a complete outrage!

If so would you mind PM'ing me your order # so I can call apple - I ordered the same spec Jan 15th and haven't got a ship notice yet.

When I called yesterday, though, they had to admit that they were not really expected to ship before the 20th. I suggested that they update the information on the website - now 24 hours later, that has not yet happened.
I don't blame them for not having this model in stock, but at least they could fix inaccurate (to avoid the word 'misleading') statements in their advertising...

I too am still waiting patiently for Apple to ship, but at this point I think it's time to call Apple and ask for expedited shipping, and anything else they can do to even this out.
I ordered mine on the 13th. No status change whatsoever.
I thought I saw someone from Vermont say that his 8800GT Mac Pro was shipping.
But I just don't feel like going through all these posts to verify it.
Ordered mine on January 22nd with the NVIDIA card. Shipped yesterday from California (I'm in New York) via Fedex Ground, so it won't be here until the 14th. After reading drrich2's recent post, and checking my Fedex tracking information, I see that my MP must be on the same truck as his. I plan to track its progress and make my wife crazy by giving her constant updates and lamenting the fact that it hasn't yet arrived.

I just talked to 1-800-My-Apple and they are saying that if I cancel my order, and re-order my exact configuration I will get it sooner. My Mac Pro configuration at the Apple store online is now showing shipping in 7 to 10 days. Even 10 days at the latest is sooner than my original order status. I also asked if my status could move up, but he said being that I ordered so long ago that chances are it will stay the same and ship on the original date quoted.

My current ships by is the 20th. Which is more than 10 days from now.
Why should people who order TODAY get theirs shipped before me?
And if I re-order, I am going to lose the free expedited shipping they gave me.
Another rep said the exact opposite (it's somewhere in this thread) so I wouldn't base any decision on that. Mind you mine was quoted to not ship till early March, yet it ended up shipping today instead. My theory is that whether you ordered today, or the day it was first announced, it's still going to be a hit or miss in terms of shipping. At least if you already ordered, there's still a chance it could ship Monday.

I really don't understand why yours and others like you haven't shipped yet. Don't reorder... you are more likely to see your order go out monday or so then see your re-order go out sooner. Its crazy you're still waiting tho, but hang in there.

Order a new one now and take the one that ships last back to the apple store for a refund.....

I'm really hoping that my order moves up being that many seem to be shipping earlier than their original dates.
Don't listen to what any rep says on the phone. The supervisor told me that they really have no idea where your order is until there is a tracking number. All they see is the same screen that you do with the Order Status screen. Apple either lost a bunch of orders or our machines are lost in transit. Makes no sense.
I agree, I wouldn't listen to anything the reps say. I was one of the first people to call out a rep using a friends order #.
In the conversation the rep tried to cover every possible scenario w/ me. After all of his excuses, I told him that I knew someone who ordered their MP w/ the same exact configuration as I did about a week after I did and he already had a tracking#.
He continued to say he would bet his job that it wasn't true. I then gave him the # and he almost s&*t himself. I think he really believed it was impossible, so it just goes to show you how much their in the dark!

I checked status this morning and showed "Prepared for Shipment". Read threads where some got $100 off and overnight shipping for the delay. Had mine upgraded to expedited shipping from a call to Apple on Thursday. Read another post of order on the 4th had shipped the 8th. Got really pissed again and called Apple and politely but very firmly stated situation about threads and wanted similar discount and shipping. She was very sweet and offered next day and $150 discount. Felt a lot better. This afternoon, I checked status again and it changed to "Shipped" for delivery on 11th. Confirming Apple email showed reduced price. Finally, the waiting is over. My heart goes out to all who are still in the dark about their orders. It's that "unknown" that is so upsetting. It looks like Apple is working on Sat. BTW my system shipped from Fullerton, Ca.
