$400 for optional wheels!! WOW you got to be kidding me. A $6000 BASE Mac Pro that has the same power as the iMac Pro should get you some wheels!
in a day an age when people are losing their jobs to automation like the cashier FREE Amazon grocery store it is very very very risky to demand a premium on these types of things $399 Apple EarPods included
Not everyone makes the salary of APPLE CEO Tim Cook
I had a Mercedes. I hit a pothole, and the tire had to be replaced. There was a 'ding' in the edge of the rim. The dealer quoted me $1,200. For ONE RIM! One. Not all 4. Just one. And it's 'blackout aluminum'. They look like crap. I'd though of changing them several times, but the cost for 4 was in the $500 range for passable rims.
The 'All Weather Floor Mats' were $250. Why? They had the Mercedes logo.
The 'Mercedes' windshield wiper blades were over twice the price of Bosch Icon blades, which lasted longer.
Apparently Apple smells their own poop, and believes it smells like money.
How much were the stands for the monitors? $999 a piece? $400 wheels with no brakes seems like a deal.
The first thing I thought was someone needs to get the radius of the wheels, and machine a solid aluminum (titanium?) plate with the 4 wheel recesses, and sell that for $1,200. I'll bet it would sell too! And if it was somewhat customizable, and had some outrageous material on the bottom to stop scratching desks, like chinchilla, or Merino wool, it could even be upsold for more! And put threaded holes in the bottom, and sell risers for $450 for 4, and be able to lift it higher off the floor. Why someone could make a fortune off of $20.00 worth of aluminum.
