Steve would have left brakes off the wheels if he thought they looked bad. Same guy that tried to tell us iPod Socks would also wipe your screen when you removed the iPod from the sock.

Definitely an oversight by the designers. Failed to test in the real world. Placing on the perfectly-level floors in Apple's $5B campus does not count as real-world testing.
Well, to be fair, these thing are going to have power and monitor cables and such plugged into them in the "Real world", and they really aren't going anywhere.

Still fun to point out the possibility, though!

Why not something like this and calling them landing pads... I'm sure the headquarters in Cupertino has something similar underneath.

Get an orange carpenters pencil from Home Depot. They are flat, so they don't roll, and would make good wheel stops. Or maybe paint the Apple wheels orange and make then square.

They're WHEELS. Wheels are supposed to roll, that's their function, their reason for existing. A lock would be counter-productive. These beautiful $400 wheels are essential simplicity at its best. Less is more. A lock would mean unnecessary complexity and hinder the wheels' Raison d'être.

Yeah, honestly as a strong Apple fan-boyeee myself😁, I’d say this is definitely an oversight by Apple. A lock of some sort should be implemented, just for that odd chance that something could happen where damage occurs to such an expensive machine.

I mean, I’m sure there are a lot of units that are not utilizing the wheel accessory, but for those who are, A small little feature like a wheel lock can prevent some very frustrated customers who Never would’ve factored something like that happening.

They're about to release for only $200 rubber coated cement blocks to place in front of the wheels.

I almost feel bad for how out of touch they have become under Tim's leadership. Almost.

I don’t agree, but I’m biased by the 628% appreciation in my Apple stock since Tim took over.

Yeah, totally agree. Instead of keeping the product line simple, and charging premium but fair prices as under Jobs, they’ve done the opposite.
They now have a silly complex product line and the majority of it is hugely overpriced.
And buggy software to go with it.

yes horrible.
