Macbook Air 2012 Order Status thread

My order hasn't even been shipped. Ordered it on the 12th of June through my University's bookstore, 13"/8gb/128 (expedited).

I went in to cancel the order yesterday because I was so frustrated that there was no progress so they offered me a free software package with office and photoshop. Now hopefully my machine will arrive so I can use the software!
 
How's this for a bad situation...

I'm reading about people tracking their MBAs out of the warehouse in Shanghai. I live in Shanghai and won't be able to buy one for a month or two while the new model is "assessed" by the Chinese authorities before it is realeased for sale in China. Sucks!

I ordered mine for pickup at the store also. Does it change straight from processing to ready for pickup without ever showing any other status like shipped etc?

My order has now shipped! Delivery on the 22nd.
 
How long is it generally taking for everyone who is doing BTO to go from order placed to shipping notification? Are these things all shipping out of China?

I ordered after the keynote when Canada store came online (this was later than the US store). It shipped Wednesday June 13th evening around 5PM PST. Received it on Monday.

Why would it be in Memphis? I thought it would fly straight to Pearson from Shanghai.

I ordered the 12th to Ottawa.
Memphis is the main Fedex hub so it always stops there.
This is what my tracking page looked like:

It goes to mississauga another fedex hub then continues on to ottawa.

Main hub is in Memphis. Most air shipments for Canada and US make their way through there and then are distributed.

It took a little while for it to get out of memphis with mine, but if it's already there and it manages to get out in the next 24 hours I think it will be almost certain that it arrives before the weekend.

I ordered mine on the 18th and it's still in processing. I don't know if it was a bad move but I did ship to store. It seemed like it would get here a day or two earlier than the ship to home delivery estimate. Mine is an i7, 8 GB ram, 256 GB SSD. The ship to store estimate is June 28th. We'll see. I'll update this thread when it shifts to shipping.

I ordered the same machine on the same day with ship to store and mine is still processing also.
 
I just cancelled and re-ordered my MBA 13" - originally ordered the base model with RAM upgrade, but I figured that 128 wouldn't be enough and got the 256GB instead with RAM upgrade.

As a result, my delivery date has been pushed back a week to sometime between July 9 and 13.

Sigh. Ah well.
 
10 days for store pickup
