Thanks mate.

Is anyone aware of any website I can use that accepts international card in Canada? As Apple.com doesn't have my card country listed under billing details sadly. Check B&H photo and they do not ship to Canada.

Maybe the 17th or the the 24th. Either a one or two week delay for delivery on July 1st or July 8th.

Just wanted to bump this thread. Curious what current ideas are for when the Air might be available for order?

I noticed that, as of today, a lot of the language on the Apple store website and app in the US changed from "available next month" to "Available in July." This seems to coincide with the 13-inch MacBook Pro shifting from "order" to "buy." While "next month" is July, this could mean a couple of things.

-Simply updating the language so that in a week, when it's July 1, "Available in July" can stay whereas "available next month" would have caused confusion by implying August.

-Confirming that it will be here in July, and hasn't slipped to August or beyond (anyone know what's going on with the super strict China Covid lockdowns?)

-Implying that the release will be in late July, despite the M2 MacBook Pro coming early (both were announced as "coming next month" during the June 6 event)

Of course, Apple will do what it wants, and it's not even clear what "available" means in this context. (Available to preorder? Available to the first pre-orderers [actual release date]? Available in base spec only? Available in stores, even with extremely low stock?)

Digging a little deeper, with the M2 Pro, Apple announced availability the morning of Tuesday, June 14, followed by preorders that Friday and release the next Friday (June 24).

Repeating this pattern for the Air, if we assume "available" means the release date itself, we should get an announcement about preorders on the morning of:

Tuesday, June 28 (preorder July 1, available July 8)
Tuesday, July 5/12/19 (preorder July 8/15/22, available July 15/22/29)

I'm still holding out hope for the first half of July, but since we're just a few days away from July, and there has been no announcement I'm thinking it might be the second half of July instead.

In the end, Apple does what Apple wants and there's no way to know just yet. I doubt they'll just open up sales without a proper announcement as to when the (pre)orders will start.

Or maybe there will be no pre-order given the supply crunch and Apple will simply let this be a free-for-all.
I'm kinda with you on this one. Apple also knows that people get pissed when they order a computer and it takes 3 months to get it... See the Studio forum for a whole mess of angry folks.

I'm sure there is a reason but who knows what it is. Maybe they want a certain number in stock before they allow pre-orders so they don't irritate millions. All you folks could help - order something else so I can get mine soon

I was expecting them to announce a pre-order this Friday with delivery from next Friday....

the air will be available when apple makes it available. the only absolute we have is the word 'july'. anything else is speculation; no harm in that, but a guess is not a fact.

i have my finger on the 'buy'' button, will click it when it lights up... whenever that will be...

Still entirely possible, if they announce preorders tomorrow morning (Tuesday), preorders go live Friday July 1, and first models ship on July 8. That would follow the same timeline as the M2 Pro, just shifted 2 weeks later.

As I posted earlier:

We should get an announcement about preorders on the morning of:

Tuesday, June 28 (preorder July 1, available July 8)
Tuesday, July 5/12/19 (preorder July 8/15/22, available July 15/22/29)
