I am looking for recommendations for slim zipper sleeves or bags designed for the new M2 MBA.

Any recommendations?

The bags on Amazon seem to be designed for the pro or m1. They say compatible w the M2 but it would be great if there was a new one designed perfectly for it.

Maybe nbd? The old mba and 13 pro sleeves fit good enough?

My use case is I throw this in a smaller backpack and the sleeve helps keep the machine from getting scratched up and offers some minor protection at the corners and sides.

So, slim is good. No need for handles etc. One more criteria, I am looking for non-animal sourced materials, so no leather stuff.

This is the one I got.

I use a Pad & Quill Copertina Slim Case For M1 MacBook Air 13 Inch Laptop. It fits the M2 just fine. For extra protection, when traveling or mobile, I then insert into: Skinny Sleeve - MediumStretchShell Neoprene / Grey/Orange made by ACMEMADE.

Thanks for those ideas. Their black one might be okay. I would probably remove the logo, though. Seems like feedback so far its he old 13" bags / zippers are just fine?

apple is selling the same sleeves for the M1 air, the M2 air, and the M2 pro... so, i would think that M1 sleeves on amazon would be fine...

I'm a huge fan of SF Bags and own several of their products. But if you'd like a decent cheaper solution that's pretty minimal, I got this one a couple years ago and it fits the M2 Air perfectly with enought room for the charger and other small items.

I have that sleeve. It is nice, though it has a magnetic closure rather than a zipper, so it might not be quite what the OP is looking for. Plus isn’t the grip leather?

I received this one today. Only examined it briefly but it seems pretty good, particularly for the price. All-around protection, with shock absorbing material on all sides. Pretty nice material inside and out - I went with the blue - and the external pocket will come in handy as well. The smallest version (12.3-13") fits the length and width of M2 Air perfectly. It's thicker than it needs to be, but that seems to be the case for just about every sleeve out there. The bonus accessory pouch is a nice touch as well. I also get a kick out of the brand name - I wonder if it's a reference, albeit misspelled, to Office Space.

Hi the link is not working?
Sorry, I tried multiple times but MR doesn't seem to like the links I paste. Just go to Amazon and search for:

Inateck 12.3-13 Inch Laptop Case Sleeve

It'll come up after a couple of sponsored listings.

Here's one more attempt at pasting a link...

For a case I have a Tomtoc in gray
Plenty of room for accessories with 360 degree corner protection
Comes in 4 different colors.
They also have other Apple products covered, with five star reviews
I’m not an Affilat, use your own links to order or search

You likely won’t get made for m2 air for a while. It took apple 6-8 months and they finally FINALLY are displaying made for 14 MBP in store. I honestly could not find one till now as I didn’t want to but a 13-14 in sleeve. I wanted a made to fit product. Ironically I’m looking to ditch the 14 so here you go.

I simply re-tasked my Apple leather 13" MacBook Pro sleeve, it is close to a perfect fit for the M2 Air. Perfect for my Yoshida Porter briefcase, and extremely slim.

For situations where I want more protection, like in a backpack or the panniers on my motorcycle, I picked up a new size 9 Waterfield Cordura/Neoprene case which is very protective but as a result, quite a bit thicker.

I would really like to see some hard or leather cases... not sleeves
I wish Thule would update their Gauntlet line. I used to have one for my old 11" MBA and it was the best case in my opinion. Thin yet very sturdy.
