Hello again,
He's a she!
This statement is included in Apple's Return Policy on their website, and was also included in the invoice e-mailed to me:
"RETURN & REFUND POLICY
If you are not satisfied with your Apple purchase of a product, please call 1-800-676-2775 for a Return Material Authorization (RMA) request within 14 calendar days of the receipt of the product. Configure-to-order, personalized or other customized product may not be returned for refund or exchange under any circumstances unless DOA."
So, I assume that includes me, but I will call and check before opening anything. This is also important information for others who are considering buying an iBook now and then selling it quickly when the Macbook comes out. But then again, I unfortunately need the computer now, regardless of if it is an iBook or Macbook.
And, you are right Multimedia, I mostly use my computer for MS Word, Internet surfing, Powerpoint, and photo-editing. I'm not a gamer, and don't do any video work, so need less power than many of you who regularly write in on these forums. I'm a pretty boring computer-user, but I am a teacher, so what do you expect?
I'm also a big Mac fan, and this will be the 5th one I've owned, starting with the cute little boxy Classic.
Thanks again, all, for the advice.
