What about a whole top case vinyl? I was thinking about doing the 3M carbon fiber wrap to the whole top case. Couple I have seen "precut" on ebay, but I would just get a big piece. I feel that that would protect the top case as well?

this is mine

pretty original being that most dont know its from a old school cult classic berry gordys the last dragon this is SHO NUFF

i wanna get the other side with bruce leroy or something . or might just leave it alone.

After reading this thread I came up with my own.
By the way it is on the inside of the apple logo.

I think its neat.. makes ur MBP different from the other 123178754285 others. To the guy who said its ruines ur MBP and hurts the resale value... u take them off b4 u sell it... haha. also they are decails... not stickers. made from vynal.

Most of the people at my school just take those staticy windows stickers and stick them onto their macbook pros. :)

Today, I was temping to buy 11x8.5 transparent label for laser printer. But the pack cost $20-30 lol.

I want to create Custom DIY designs.

I have my own personal bender! :D

Did you put another skin or invisible shield over the decal? Your mac looks shiny.

Personally I can't commit to a design, and that is why I normally don't do the decal thing. That and there isn't really any out there that is professional for my work.

That looks awesome. I would do that too if I wasn't lazy!

I think they put on the invisible shield first then the decal. That's the way I have my MBP put together;)

If you are feeling brave you can have the case of your MBP laser engraved. There`s a company in the UK who will do it for about £100, you have to be VERY sure though cos this is permanent unless you want to replace the casing.
Can look stunning when done right.
Personally I like mine "naked".

They work great. When I had my old MBP in a incase case, I was able to print out my designs and put them right up against the the top and it shown through perfectly.

This dumb speck case on the other hand has alot of free space between the top and the case so they'd all just fall to the bottom.

Correct! iShield then the decal. :D. In case i get bored of it i can peel it off without scratching the lid.

I use Ghost Armor. I use my MBP out on the field most of the time and it goes though lots of punishment and so far I'm impressed with it;)

I wouldn't put one on my computer, but I wouldn't comment on what other people do.

I am all about the clean look for all of my mac products. i do have to admit maybe for a some catchy marketing campaign for a business it works well maybe.

On a personal level I like clean and simple.

Wow, you guys are stressing over some tiny decals. I decided to get a gelaskin for mine - not only do I not have to worry about scratches on the top lid now, but I really like the look.

Having said that, it's all about personal taste. I really only liked one or two of the designs offered.

Here's mine: http://img6.imageshack.us/f/dscn8330r.jpg/ Sorry for the poor lighting, but you can vaguely make out the apple logo underneath it. The glow is very muted but still a little visible in darker settings. I have no bubbles in my sticker, but did get one piece of dust under it during application. But that wasn't enough for me to try a re-application.

Oh and mulo, the first one gets the coffeeshop job, for sure.
