Macbook Pro 15inch 2011 ATI 6750m Game Benchmarks

edibomb, I had issues with the 11.5a mobility modded, couldn't OC either, so I went back to the bootcamp 11.2 and no problems since. I would stick to those for now. OC works nicely.

been curious as to how the MBP benchmarked when OC'd at .955volts 800core, 900 memory. Here is my 3dmark11 score Performance test.

P1696 OC

this is up from stock P1343

.955 volts, 800 core, 950 memory added: P1717

finally, (couldn't sleep lol, woke up at 5AM) some 3dmark06 scores for giggles, although they're not too useful anymore.
1280x800 got a score OC'd .955v 800/950 12,500 marks

Wow :) Nice. I'm really enjoying my 15" 2.2 MBP, as well :) I have not overclocked because I dont currently feel the need... but Maybe in the future...
 
Does anyone know how well a HD 6750M in the new Macbook Pros compare to the desktop ATI 3870 Mac Edition? I've got a first gen Mac Pro with with the 3870 and am curious to know what kind of performance I can expect when playing games under windows (half life 2 episode 2 and Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2010). I'll be buying a 15" MBP with the high res screen (1680x1050).

6750m oc'd is roughly the performance of a 4850 I think, it'll run hl2 100 fps easily on high, although its better to vsync (locks fps at 60) on the apple TN screens for no tearing.

i just bought macbook pro 2011 15", 2,2ghz,4gb,6750 1gb vram,750gb...

i play grand theft auto iv, but its very slow.... even in low setting..... why ??

any one have same problem?? becouse i play mafia ii is no problem in high setting... (no physic).. and assasins creed brotherhood no problem to...

but why grand theft auto iv cant played????

it's the worst console port ever created. runs like shitta no matter hat you have. try latest patch 1.0.7

one question again, how big different my macbook pro i7 2,2ghz with macbook pro i7 2,3ghz??

i am false to buy it, iwant 2,3ghz one...... but in my country not sale it.....

and about bootcamp, its big different if i use windows 7 32 bit and 64 bit???
you know that 32 bit cant support full memory... just 3gb ram,,,
 
Can someone post the steps for installing 11.4 or 11.5? When I try to do this, I get a message saying my card is not supported.

4GB+ RAM = use 64x W7
yes, latest patch for GTA4.

2.2 vs 2.3 is 5% speed difference. i would not worry about it.
 
Alright. You guys are scaring me... I just ordered a 2.2ghz 4gb MBP. Non Hi-res screen
I play mostly SC2. And I see you guys saying all these things about OC and that it sometimes doesn't work with this or that.
Can anyone give me some reassurance?

i run starcraft 2 with the overclocked 6750M at 790/900 undervolt 0.955 with most ease and it runs even better than my asus gaming laptop with a gtx460

High setting with ultra textures : 120fps in desert strike games (3v3 custom maps, drops to 30-50 during gigantic battles)

Ultra : 80-90fps

My pc mark 06 score : 12610

If i OC using this guide, will the GPU stay at the OC speeds all the time? or will they throttle down when the GPU is not in use like it normally do? I don't want to have my GPU running at high speed all the time.

hei jukes319, i have one that macbook pro 1' 2,2ghz i7 spec...

overall macbook is the best laptop, from design and material quality...

i love i7,quadcore, but i hate ati... i think nvidia is better...

my notebook before is acer 5562, its have ati radeon 1600x ... but same thing it have high temperature... my acer is shutdown automaticali if i play a game > 30 minute... because heat....

if u want to buy, buy it, it a good notebook... but i wait until new macbook pro with nvidia and i will sell my macbook pro this one...

Someone playing gothic iii in macbookpro 15" 2.2ghz i7?

Its same like gta4 its very slow, like slow motion in very low setting Lol...

Why ati not supported by some game? Always nvidia...

I think it was discussed earlier in the thread, but from my own personal experience, if you OC, it will not throttle down like stock clock settings will. So if I plan to be in windows long after gaming, then I just have my default clocks hotkeyed as well as my OC hotkeyed. Simple as that.

Now, gta 4 playable after install patch 1.0.7 n ati catalyst 11.7b

With high texture, max resolution, but no shadow n no water effect...
