I would laugh so hard (and cry shortly afterward) if every new processor was a Core 2 Duo when they were released.

Haha watch the new MBP's have C2D and hear the screams of those who have been waiting forever as they leap from their office windows.

lol, ya it's getting a little late in the dev cycle. It's almost a little embarrassing to be an Apple fan with the current line of Core 2 Duo notebooks... considering there are i5/i7 Arrandale notebooks on the market at lower prices.

If I was Microsoft, I'd be starting up another "laptop hunters" TV ad campaign about how you can get newer tech for far less money.

Kingston lists the Availablity with: Approx: 2/ 25/ 10

So could this mean the Store will go down on Thursday and iPad Preorder will be up together with the new MBPs?

sounds like a effective way to create hype on the apple store!!
but the question is.. are we right?

I don't understand why everyone is so eagerly waiting for new products when Apple should be focusing on fixing the current ones and Mac OS X. I bet you these i5, i7 will have some kind of issues, like the 2009 iMac. Apple quality control has gone down the drain in the computer area. They are more focused on the iPhone, sad but true.

As the Tuesdays roll by... it is apparent that there will be no MBP update until the iPad is delivered to the faithful.
This is my big fear as well. Why cannibalize potential sales of the iPad with the release of a new line of laptops just before?

If people are dropping $2K on a laptop, they are less likely to drop the money on yet another device.

It makes sense to me, but it's frustrating!

Maybe they update tomorrow, tomorrow it's Steve Jobs his birthday:D
and maybe he give us a present :D

No way! That would take away from his birthday announcement. Now I think it will be a couple more weeks in March! :D

Spot on! What’s a good processor to us when even the current apps (iTunes etc) can’t use 64bit or don’t have any serious speed enhancements (looking at you, iTunes again)?!

No, don´t forget that the iPad isn´t considered to be a Standalone Product. You´ll still need a Laptop to update it, upload Songs from iTunes and so on. Hence they might announce the iPad Preorder together with the new MBPs. Maybe it´s just wishful thinking from my part, we´ll see.

Hopefully they will release both the MBP as well as initiate the iPad orders.

If they do this at the same time, offering a discount if you order both could be a very good marketing move. ;)

I sense a Macbook Pro update with iPad bundled deals or promotions.

What good would speeding up iTunes do? It's not like you need your songs to play any faster... (Improving performance on Windows would be good given how much of a dog it is on that platform, but that's not Apple's biggest concern when they're trying to get people to switch to Mac anway)

On the other hand, using the MBP as a mobile workstation - for music and video editing and running code, while away from your Mac Pro - having as as many cores and as much RAM as you can lay your hands on makes sense.

The iPad has the iTunes Store built in; no computer needed (even without a laptop you could use an iMac, a Mac Pro, or a Windows desktop). If you already have an iTunes library full of music then you already have a computer to upload stuff to the iPad from. So I don't see that as a good reason for the launches to be correlated. (On the other hand, Apple does like its correlated launches, so I wouldn't rule it out just because there's no good reason for it.)

It would fit his personality haha

haha yes! so maybe tomorrow.. :D

How about the new OSX. if you buy the new updated MBP when it release you buy it with the "old" OSX and as a example, next month they release the NEW OSX and they start deliver it by the update MBP.
how about the people who bought the updated MBP the month before the new OSX??????

Hmm, if nothing else, this implies that the 13" MBP, and the 13" MB by extension, will get the default Ram bumped up to 4 Gigs.

Not. A. Chance.

4GB DIMMs are ruthlessly expensive. If the base is 4GB (2x2GB DIMMs), then the first upgrade is to that ruthlessly expensive level.

Not to mention that 2GB in a consumer laptop is still perfectly adequate.

This list the Macbook Pro with Core2Duo as the old model it also has an case for the new model but says they are coming soon! Is this just me being about on my last bit of patients or is this just another sign that they will be here very soon. This is driving me crazy. release them already!

What the hell!? how do they know it's not compitble??

i think they are mean the current mbps. cause the early 2009 mbps have no memory card slot. which the old casings does not have the space for it?
