Why so many people talk about March 11th?
Also getting attention today is a Best Buy inventory screen pointing to a March 11th in-stock date for what may be a revised version of the entry-level 13-inch MacBook Pro. We received word of the same database entry about ten days ago, but have little faith in its accuracy, as the company did the exact same thing in early 2010, guessing at a March 14th date for new models. The update didn't actually occur until a month after the proposed date.

Why so many people talk about March 11th?
Because one employee out of a million from one company out of one hundred took a random guess as to the release date so the company software would accept estimated information without complaining about a blank database field.
And people for lack of hope think it means something.
With the rumor of panel sizes changing, is there any hope for an upgrade from 13.3" -> 14" for the smallest MBP's? ( My guess is no, because they want people to move up to the 15" ).
Here's my wish list in order of preference:
- sandy bridge processor, at least i5 (pretty much a must have)
- 14" IPS screen (unlikely)
- solid state hard drive
- better video card
I don't really care about much else. Lightpeak probably won't be well supported for many years, especially since it faces competition with USB3.
Honestly, anything less than that list above would really make me question Apple. The core 2 duo chips on the current macbook "pro" lineup are an insult. My 4.5yr old PC laptop runs that same technology.
I'll be most torn if they offer an i3 or i5 option in the 13.3" because I'm cheap.![]()
13"
IPS display
Increased resolution
Matte screen
Better graphics, hopefully discrete
Auto switchable graphics, discrete and SB Intel Graphics Processor
Of course, Sandy Bridge. Duo cores are enough for me
Lighter
More Durable (Liquid metal?)
Does not need to be thinner IMO, its a laptop, it is fine as it is.
No ODD
SSD (and if there is space, an extra HDD)
10h of battery with max brightness/wifi on and internet usage

Is it possible to put sandy bridge in air and not to mbp????
If this happens, I will believe that Apple makes everything to push away any professional users.
It is better to throw in the market the new mbp models in June, rather than not giving them a new sandy bridge equipment.

Why is is we're seeing 'definitive' facts about the new MBAs but not so much as a whisper from the impending MBP refresh? Everything we've gathered so far is purely speculation.
"According to those same people, such anomalies in Apple's Mac supply chain only manifest in the face of a significant production problem or on the cusp of major product line refresh."
Taken from appleinsider
Apple keeps pushing the restock date back on resellers...we know that there has been production problems dues to intel, but maybe this will be a significant refresh as well. Could apple keep a design change undercover for this long?![]()
