Strange..

Hey guys,

I wanted to add my 2cts here, as well as ask how to "rate this".

I ordered a CTO 2,3 with 16GB Ram in the morning on the 12th and had the dates: 4.7 to 10.7 (wanted to order on 11th but my CC decided to be angry at me that exact day).

Yesterday, the MBP went to "Preparing for shipment", in the evening "Shipped:" and now being "Departure Scan Shanghai"

One thing I noticed and am amazed and very hopeful about:

Suddenly as I refreshed my widgets, the Apple site "Approx. delivery" changed from 8 days (as in the first Apple Mail and the dates I saw yesterday at Apple & UPS) to 2 days. Is this even possible? (Berlin, Germany).

Have a lot of fun to the guys that already got theirs.

Seems to me from what I've noticed using this thread and the spreadsheet, most of the non-USA orders are getting shipped out way before orders in the USA which were placed earlier.
Might have to do with the quantity of people from the US ordering. Most of Apple's loyal early adopters are in the US, and I'm guessing that most people that entered info into the spreadsheet are from the US.

Say the factory produces 1000 for the US market. Then sends the next 1000 to Europe. If you are the 1001th, you will be in the next batch. While the European order that came later than yours might fall within the 1000, and goes out before yours.

The same situation happens for configurations.

Just my guess. So it's fairer to compare with people from your own state, with the same config.

Wooohooo. Yesterday, it was saying processing and delivery was estimated at between 12th of July and something I can't remember now. This morning it says, "Shipped". Yipeee ka yay.

Spreadsheet discipline

Haven't seen it mentioned yet:

Perhaps someone can stress that if anyone want to sort the spreadsheet can choose to export to excel or similar, and not do it on the online copy.

This morning, processing. Tonight, shipped! Looks like it's going to arrive in about 2.5 weeks from order date. The estimate was 3-4 weeks from apple so seems they are catching up.

Is anybody else looking at the orders from their iPhone... For me the dispatched is written in a much larger font than processing order and it's driving me insane as I keep logging on... Woopy it's been dispatched... Oh wait d@mn!!!

When did you order?

Pretty much all 3-4 weeks are getting preparing/shipped now but only outside of the US. :(

Yeah, we outsiders have it all good ;)

No but, I don't know if you have heard, but it can be because we have different keyboard layouts and such. I was really happy yesterday when it said preparing for shipment and 1 hour later shipped :)

You'll get yours soon as well!

WooHoo!

My 2.7/16/768GB is preparing for shipment!
