Ok, I've had it with the bullies so I created a new spreadsheet:

I did this with a backup from ~13hours ago. So some data might be a little old.

There are 2 sheets:
1.INPUT: Everyone can edit, please put your status in here. If you want to update copy your row from sheet 2 to sheet 1 and update your info. Management will move it to the permanent sheet.
2.Permanent: Only collaborators ('Management') can edit this one. If you want to be on the management team ask for permission via the share button and include your macrumors ID an a link to your post history on the Macrumors forum.

Very important: ID/username is now obligatory, if you don't fill this field we can't move you to the permanent sheet. This is to prevent double entries.

My 2.6/16/768gb just moved to 'preparing for shipment' overnight. I ordered the evening of 6/11, and had a deliver estimate of 6/29-7/6. Would love for them to make that 6/29 date, but as that's this Friday, I'm not sure how long it sits in 'preparing' status...

Depends..Mine stayed there for 5 hours then shipped...

Yes, I guess so! A bit different. That would be awesome. A friend of mine thought the Macs would travel by boat. Yeah..Right. Would have taken forever! Haha.

My 2.6/16/768gb just moved to 'preparing for shipment' overnight. I ordered the evening of 6/11, and had a deliver estimate of 6/29-7/6. Would love for them to make that 6/29 date, but as that's this Friday, I'm not sure how long it sits in 'preparing' status...

I ordered mine earlier in the day but got the 2.7 model. Still waiting :-(

Same here. It looks like the ones that were estimated at 2-3 weeks are shipping before the ones estimated at 3-5 weeks, despite the fact that they were ordered later.

I would hate to clog up your inbox but would sending you a PM to get added to the doc work better...then you could manually add it..or send it to "management" people to manually add? People just screwed up the input sheet.

Hey, see you're in Chicago (me too). Yeah, I honestly think there may have been a bug when the store first went back up. I went in to place my order within minutes of the store coming back online, but as soon as I selected the 768 option, it changed my shipping time to 3-5 weeks. When I saw the delay, I figured there was no rush and abandoned the order. When I came back to the online store later that night, and selected the 768 drive, it only quoted me 2-3 weeks (so I ordered then). I'm wondering if initially they thought the 768 drive would take longer, and then adjusted time estimates later that day when they saw it would be sooner....but perhaps never adjusted times for those already ordered under the old estimate?

For those speculating about our Macs on the LH8401 plane:

UPS shows Incheon (S.Korea) as an Arrival and Departure destination after Shanghai. So I guess it couldn't be that plane as LH 8401 does Shanghai -> Almaty -> Frankfurt...

I don't have UPS as a shipment carrier. So I can't see that! The only thing I can see right now is the stuff that are on http://expo.expeditors.com/

Maybe only mine is on that flight then.. Here is my shipment info again from that website:

My cMBP has been shipped yesterday and I got a tracking no. typical TNT delivery it doesn't show anything! at all....

Does anyone know when or if at all they update the status of the delivery itself or is it only when they stand at your door?

Nah, seems like there are enough admins to move the data in real-time before it gets erased, or to restore it if needed. Good system so far.

All you 12ers have some faith. I'm sure something will happen soon. I ordered mine around 10am PST. I spent about 30+ hours in preparing for shipment. The last night before bed at around 11pm PST my order shipped and should be here by Friday

Anyone with the same order has the "preparing to shipment" status ?

I have the same config ordered (with t-bolt Ethernet adapter). 2-3 day shipping and also through edu. Same approximate order time and same time estimate. I'm still processing, just like you.

Shipping to Kansas City, KS, US. I'm expecting that next week we'll see some updates based on Apple's current progress with back orders. (just a guess)
