I got the 3-5 week with my original orderand almost cancelled and re-ordered on June 11th! Now I wish I had. Got to clean out and get my 2011 MBP ready to ship to its new owners.
Chicago area as well. I get that the estimates will fluctuate as they determine how high demand is. But that estimate shouldn't have a bearing on who gets their machine first. I'm in the same situation as you but went ahead with the 3-5 week wait. Soon as I saw it adjust to 2-3 week I was thinking of canceling and re-ordering but thought it's just an estimate and an earlier order would ship before a later one. Guess I was wrong lol.
TNT seems to be a bit lazy in updates... :S UPS is much more accurate!
Hope things are on the move and arriving soon!
IMHO TNT have usually been pretty dire in general. UPS better but still slow. FedEx being the best with most up to date tracking and delivery which is super fast. Shame Apple didn't have the FedEx option for UK orders.
Interesting, for those tracking their shipment on the UPS or FedEx website, Newegg's tracking gives more up to date info (someone mentioned this earlier)

Once I noticed that the ship time changed to 2-3 weeks, I chatted with a support rep, asking if I should cancel and reorder the same item. She assured me that the earlier orders would ship before the later ones.
Well at least I know I'm not alone. Any 768GB 3-5 weekers, let us know if your status changes.

I saw a few June 12th orders changed to preparing to ship either last night or early this morning (I think there was one a page or 2 back).
Mine is still processing (ordered around 1:00 EST; base with the memory upgrade). I have a feeling it will be any day now.
I ordered on 6/12 at 1:00 PM Central. Still processing. 2.3/16/256 with an original delivery of 7/3-7/10
I called to complain and the rep said they couldn't do anything. Then I got an email saying my order was updated to expedited shipping with expected delivery of 7/2-7/9.....that really helps =(
Would you happen to have the flight info for a flight going from Shanghai to Vegas or around Vegas? I have a intransit time of 7:44pm on June 27th shanghai time.
I have an order for about 4 hours earlier for the same that hasnt shipped.
Doesnt seem to be too much rhyme or reason to what gets shipped at times.
Thanks...I checked and see that direct flight to memphis departs 11pm central time. Is there any rhyme or reason as to what flight the package is put on?

Yeah I ordered mine around 1:31pm EST still no movement. Its crazy that you order around 24hrs after an announcement that they say they are shipping today you end up waiting a few weeks. I guess they only had like 10 on the shelf.....
My order switched to preparing for shipment sometime mid day monday. It's been ~48 hours since then and still not shipped out.
I feel like my package was forgotten in some corner

Pposthoorn, two questions:
1. It looks like my entry was erased. My user ID was probably deleted by the vandal. Should I re-enter my info?
2. How is the information sorted? I'm having a difficult time using the doc because it does not appear to be sorted by order date. Wouldn't that be the logic choice?
EDIT: Nevermind, I found my entry and the sorting info. Could I request, however, that purchase date be the third sort factor? It's driving me crazy.

I'd guess you're on FDX 28 which left at 8:30PM in Shanghai for Anchorage. From there I think it flies to Memphis and then probably onto Vegas
I'm not really sure, I'd guess maybe expedited shipments get direct to Memphis, although I had standard shipping and it flew there direct. For Apple products seems like luck of the draw.
The representative I spoke to said that no Macbooks actually shipped on that date.
