Macbook Pro 2012 Order Status thread (all models)

How many flights out a day does FedEx have?

Mine finally moved from 'preparing' to 'shipped'. However, when I track it on FedEx's site, it states:

June 27,2012 7:24 PM - Picked Up - Shanghai CN - "Package received after FedEx cutoff"

So does this mean it's just going to sit around at Fed Ex's China facility for the next day since Apple missed FedEx's 'cutoff'? Any ideas when should will go out?

How do you except a laptop to get too hot if they are packaged and all shut down?

The joke was that it was a 'hot' laptop, as in a whole pallet of them would catch fire cause they were such hot items... anyway... the humor was lost in trying to explain :p
 
2.6GHz/16GB RAM/512GB SSD - Preparing for Shipment!

Ordered a 2.6GHz/16GB RAM/512GB SSD rMBP on Tue, Jun 12, 2012 at 12:37 PM CT.

Just changed to "Preparing for Shipment" sometime between 5:30AM and 6:30AM this morning!
 
Order on the 12th at 7pm EST, from Charlotte, NC. Base model + azerty keyboard.

Preparing from shipment.

Sorting has been the #1 topic of discussion for the spreadsheet :p
Atm it is sorted on "Shipment?" and then "Expected delivery".
What I do is look at how many entrys with my expected delivery date (7/16) are shipped and preparing. Totals to 1 now so guess it's not my turn yet ;)

Mines was originally suppose to ship July 3rd thru July 9th.
I was just notified that it shipped today from SHANGHAI CN and should arrive by July 2nd. Im glad, since Ill be on vacation July 8th.
I got the 700gig flash drive/ 2.7 proc/ 16gig memory.

I ordered it on June 12th, 2012. Shipping to NJ.

I ordered around there! Hopefully mine goes into prepping for shipment Same specs too. Im worried il be waiting till week 3 to ship...

Hi, I originally ordered without school discount and got a delivery date of july 8th thru 16th or something. But then I tried to do it thru education discount almost 6 hrs later because I forgot to initially and got an earlier delivery date of july 3rd thru july 9th. Very strange. Both was ordered Jun 12th I believe, maybe June 11th I ordered and got the order email June 12th at 9:30am.

Just checked receipts.
First ordered on Jun 11th (non-education) - Expected delivery date of: July 10th - July 23rd - STD shipping.
I canceled that order 3 hrs later because I forgot to do it under edu discount.
2nd order on Jun 12th (Edu Disocunt) - Expected delivery date of: July 2nd, thru July 9th - STD shipping.
I got the USB SuperDrive and Apple Giftcard early. Now I received email stating it shipped on June 27th (today). And will arrive July 2nd by 10:30am.

Weird that I ordered this one next day and it will arrive 1-2 weeks faster then my first order.
Maybe they prioritize students?

Is there a reason that purchase date is not the third sort factor? That way, we could more easily find where our entries are in the spreadsheet.

I would argue that order date should be the primary sort category, so we can see entries go from red to green in front of us. Also, it would bring my entry back to the front page!
 
I was getting worried about my credit card, it expires this month, so I call apple and tried to get some answers form them. They said I should be getting it between July 3 and 10, but no later then that, it is exactly what it says online. They said that I may get it before then, but not likely.

Hopefully they are wrong an I get it earlier, my current MacBook pro has not powered up for close to 3 months now, it starts smoking when it gets power (it caught on fire because a a capacitor problem). And my MacBook with 1 program opened gets much hotter then my MacBook pro did with many programs running, and encoding a couple of video files at the same time, so I really don't like using it, I don't want any more fires. So at this point I don't have a good computer to use.
 
rMBP In-Store Restock?

Hey guys,

I've been trying for several days now and fail to grab a hold of one. I want to get a rMBP to be use on my trip next week, and I've ordered online for it. However, it seems like I ordered it too late.

Does any of you guys know (by any chance) on what time Apple Retail Store will usually get their stock delivered for each day?

(I talked to the rep there, I understand that there might be no rMBP in a shipment, but I don't know what time usually the shipment be in. I heard that usually they have two stocks coming in each days, but I'm not sure what time it will be in. I would like some kind of estimate so I can call and ask them about their stock - or go and grab one - at the right time.)

OMG I got trolled big time this morning. Some unknown number called me this morning. I was so stoked cause I thought it was for my RMBP. But then I found out it was a nobody. Bummer!

And then they changed the tracking status to clearance delay and its stuck on that for few hours already. Come on! I know its here give it to me already!!!!! the agony doesnt stop.
 
Not sure about the Apple store, but I ordered the high end model through MacMall yesterday, for delivery today ($40 FedEx Priority Overnight) and as of yesterday, they told me they had over 200 in stock. The actual MacMall store in Chicago only had the base model in stock, so I ordered online.

Try Best Buy as well if you are in the US. But be sure to call and confirm stock you may see available online.

Sweet, I've put up an order with them for the high end model. Did not know that they have in stock (or what I think that's what's showing.) Thanks a lot!

(BTW, they said that the order is *processing* though. I had to use my foreign credit card to pay, so hopefully everything will be fine ..)

Ah, thanks. It seems like they have none in my area. I did not even know Bestbuy could also get hold of the stock!
