ETA: until this morning it still said 3-4 weeks processing time

Just to annoy everybody I'm not ordering mine till tomorrow and ive got my shipping confirmation... Wait no that was a dream sorry

wtfs. My rMBP just went from preparing for shipment to shipped. Only it took almost 72 hours to switch over. Now look at this.

Interestingly it looks like it's coming from within the United States, rather than from China.

Strange.

EDIT: 2.6/8/512
June 12 noon
July 2-9 2-3 weeks.

They probably 'forgot' to update your preparing for shipment. Or Fedex 'forgot' to scan the package until it had arrived in America, thus that was the first time a tracking code was generated and why it shows it started from America.

nope apple has a warehouse in pa i get lots of stuff from there being in ny.Maybe they are starting to bulk ship to warehouses its probably cheaper for them it would also mean production is catching up

Wow, they are definitely #*@&ing with me. Mine is STILL preparing for shipment - while few others entered this stage later and has already gotten shipped.

I have the exact same situation. My stock 2.3 has been preparing to ship for 4 days (changed from processing Monday around 4:00 pm est) and no progress, no updates, and no information when calling apple. Frustrating as hell. Ordered early morning June 12 and live in the US.

i know how to use photoshop too !:D i really dont care if you get yours quicker though ive been using my 2.6/8/512 , until my 2.6/16/512 comes it should be here tomorrow and it was ordered the 15th

red bars are from preview actually. not sure you can do anything with my order # or shipping/billing details but why take the risk.

in response to someone elses comment, my institutional orders have NEVER gotten such evident priority over regular orders in the past. No idea whats going on in this particular case.

You going to give us a demonstration? Just be happy for the guy/gal and stop whinging. I'm sorry you're so affected by another person's good fortune. As for me, I'm happily waiting my 3-4 weeks and pleased that other people are receiving orders early. Gives me hope! =)

9 years to make your first post, that's impressive.

There's no signature required for delivery of a $2000+ computer? My iPhone requires signature.

Fair enough, from the UK so I only know that our warehouse is located in Ireland.

Potential good news for everyone then if they're starting to get stock in their main warehouses.

Was yours a stock configuration or BTO? Assuming it's the same for the US as the UK, only stock configs are kept in the 'local' warehouse. A stock config in PA would probably be stronger evidence that production is slowly starting to meet demand.

and you would be crazy for attempting that, since it would be MUCH easier to save a copy of an existing order page, and just edit the HTML and screenshot that. why put in all the work matching fonts and layouts and what not in photoshop? thats not what its designed for.... also,

although in my case my order page is 100% authentic. i guess ill snap some pics of the laptop tomorrow at my office.

I've been following this thread for the past couple of days. Mine just switched from processing to preparing for shipment. 2.3/16/256 to the US

i dont know whats going on there but the UPS page says signature required. and we typically have to sign for macs here. strange that the apple page says the contrary.

Um.. Yes? Here in Sweden it is so anyway. The driver from UPS or TNT who delivers the computer requires a signature from you.

Well on the image it shows that it doesn't require a signature. That seems unlikely. It's also in the same spot as my back to school gift card, he claims that he used an education discount. It requires no signature. I'm not saying it's fake, I'm just saying that seems odd.
