The waiting is the hardest part

Ok, I've been lurking on this site site I ordered mine on 6/15.
2.3/256/16 ram upgrade. + time capsule, superdrive.

I noticed some in my ordering range are getting out of the endless "processing item" hole, but alas.... I'm still in processing. Located on East Coast.

3-4 Weeker here ... order went to preparing yesterday and now it's in the air leaving Shanghai! My original delivery date was the 12-18th, fedex is saying the 3rd by 10:30am!!!!!

Dang, same as mine (7/2 by 10:30). I've been hearing some people are getting theirs early (before their Fed Ex estimate), so I was hoping to as well. Not looking that way now unfortunately. If there's no people in this boat with a Fed Ex estimate of 6/29, then they may just be prioritizing somehow and holding ours back somewhere....though still don't know why there's no arrival tracking updates (even if they are just sitting somewhere)
 
what a day! :D

after passing my exams i checked my order status and it had changed to "Preparing for Shipment"!
 
Looks like my MacBook flew from Memphis to Las Vegas and it at the sort facility right now. Hopefully I can play with it before I goto work.
 
I've moved into shipping. 3-4 weeker here. Ordered 2.3/16/256 on 12/06/12 but had to change my order on 13/06/12 to upgrade the ram, and got bumped into the 3-4 week group.

Can't wait to get it.
 
Ordered mine on the 13th. Yesterday was preparing for shipping and today it has shipped! Scheduled to arrive July 4th next week in Toronto. It was originally slated for 16th-20th.

Dang, my rMBP was shipped on Wednesday but it's now night time here in Malaysia, no delivery during the weekend, so guess I'll just have to wait till Monday. :( still sitting at a DHL sorting facility.

EDIT: called Apple and told them the "delivers by" date is supposed to be today but they're late, so the girl offered to give me a partial refund, though the amount is not specified yet. I'm hoping the $$ is enough for me to get a SuperDrive :D
 
How does everyone track their orders so much?
I don't have a tracking number, or even a courier assigned, but people seem to be tracking the plane rides their orders are on.
I'm in the UK, and have an estimated delivery of Tuesday, but it seems to have left the warehouse, if any of that helps!
 
do you have a fedex, UPS, TNT tracking number? That would be the start....the plane tracking is a manual GEEK thing we all have become experts on.

Post your destination, origin info....we may be able to spot the plane for you.:D

Funny thing was driving by Edmonton air port as a FedEx plane was comming in! Hope it's on there but tracking hasn't been updated:(

I've got 2 PO numbers/order numbers (I've got a gift card being merged), a "delivery reference number", the "shipped to" location and all the dates for when it said it dispatched etc.
Which of these will help, and how easy is for me figure it out?

I think that UK users we don't have trucking number until the courier receive the laptop in UK. We don't have the option to choose which method to ship it (express, etc...). Seems like US users can choose which method of delivery (with extra cost) and then if the selected the "express" automatically get the trucking number.

I have the same problem than you .. my order changed yesterday to shipped and I haven't got any trucking number. Also I have the following additional information:

Please Note: Your items dispatched from different locations and will be merged together before delivery. Once merged, your Order Status will be updated with carrier and tracking information (at latest 48 business hours before your estimated delivery date).

I bough the RMBP through EDU

both stated In Transit, 6:01 being in bold, nothing since.
There was the two flights to Memphis last night 28 and 48 I believe.
There was a flight to Portland it could of made in the middle of the night.
Scheduled delivery is July 2, 2012 before 10:30 am

I ordered the same model on 6/11 and mine just shipped last night. I'm not sure why but the stock base model seems to be the slowest to ship. Apple's estimated delivery date is July 5th and my original delivery estimate was June 29-July 6th so these models are barely making the original delivery estimates.

Hopefully they speed up soon!

Be sneaky. Once it ships the tracking page will have a short reference beginning with an 8 (mine is 8208781962). Input this into Expeditors' tracking (Google exp.o) and it will come up with flight details from China.
 
Ordered on the 12th at 11pm MDT... originally 3-4 weeks Jul 13-19 with EDU -- 2.3/16/256

Gift card never showed up on date expected - got free expedited shipping (bumped to July 12-18) - told me to follow up the next week

Gift card still didn't show up a week later - got free mighty mouse (shipped and at local sort facility already) - told me the receive date is not the date I receive it, but when the courier receives it

Still processing on rMBP and no gift card, but the mouse is probably going to come today or Tuesday. If this keeps up, maybe they'll offer me an apple tv :D - free stuff is good, but its been a long long wait
