I think less than 5 in the forums, I am also waiting since the 11th, they are running out of time with the 2-3 weeks as it ends monday.

Sigh..im one of them as well, ordered later than you guys=( ordered on the 12th, estimated delivery is between july 10-16. I hope they start getting these produced more!

No, there is a direct flight from Shanghai to Memphis 4-5 times per week:

Many orders that shipped last night ("Left FedEx origin facility" around 3pm local time, "In transit" around 11pm) are on that flight.

Yeap, my rMBP is on that flight, then heading home to FL.....if the plane arrives on time (11:37pm) what are the chances it will make it down to FL for delivery tomorrow? FedEx is quoting me at a Jul 3 delivery date no later then 10:30am. Crossing fingers for a Saturday Delivery

I haven't tried calling yet to ask about my status (or to get expedited shipping refunded, or a free SuperDrive or anything else), but yes, the window is closing soon... Did you try calling?

Not yet, but if it doesn't ship by monday they will hear from me, I am in Mexico so it is impossible to know if they wil give me anything, we only have standard shipping which is UPS Air.

mine just got turned into "preparing for shipment"

ordered mine the day after the announcement, one day of contemplation turned into a extra week of waiting, but whatever I hope the "ultimate" version I've ordered handles graphics processing better then some of these posts I'm seeing now cuz it would majorly suck to have to return it after this wait!

Mine is coming to Florida today, but if apple quoted July 3rd, it's locked, and FedEx won't release it from its container until then, possibly Monday, July 2nd, that's what they told me when I called earlier. I asked if it would be delivered tomorrow but that the containers have a processing lock or something and won't be opened until Monday...

So don't expect much!

I don't think they've been doing Saturday delivery but could be wrong. Another rMBP I was following left Shanghai on the same flight last week though on Thursday, arrived in Memphis at 11:45pm and was on a plane to LAX by 3am. Landed at 5am local time, traveled 2+hrs to the small town where I live and on the truck for delivery by 9am. Normally I don't follow this stuff very closely but was pretty amazed at how fast they were able to move my package from China to essentially the east coast, back to the west coast and out for delivery... crazy stuff.

I don't know that it's locked in... the other rMBP I was tracking had a ship date of the 14th (Thursday), Apple said estimated delivery was the 20th, FedEx tracking said the 18th, but it actually showed up Friday the 15th.

I'd rather believe that they made it to Memphis....anything can go wrong up in the AK leg of the journey.

If you are correct, this would mean that mine left AK twice already...4:13pm then 6:01pm and now will leave again today...hopefully ?

For those of us stuck on the ground in Alaska since 6:01 PM yesterday, based on what's happened to those who shipped a day earlier than ours, we should be on the AK to Memphis portion of FDX28's trip today. It's currently en route to AK, where I'm guessing it'll be loaded with yesterday's machines for delivery to Memphis by early AM tomorrow morning, if it follows the pattern of what happened to the last batch:

So you ordered the 2.7/16/768 too? I really don't get how my order, placed the day OF the announcement, is still processing then...

If you aren't seeing your FedEx tracking update, try looking at it from your phone. I don't understand why, but the mobile version is more up to date. My delivery notification didn't show up for a few hours after, it was really strange.

Mine has the exact time as yours, so I bet we're on the same plane.
I don't think it's possible to arrive before the weekend.

Fedex says will deliver on July 3rd, but I was hoping to get it earlier.

I think we CA people stuck in AK will have to wait until Tuesday next week since FedEx flight 86 operates between AK and OAK only Monday through Thursday's.

I'm in this group stuck in AK waiting for CA delivery, but Fedex delivery is 7/2 by 1030. I have to believe they'll get it here on Monday!
