Mine departed Memphis at 4:40 pm on Friday and hasn't updated since. It's supposed to be delivered tomorrow by 10:30 am, but i'm getting a little nervous now.

My rMPB is on the truck for delivery! A day early too! Specs in sig. Ordered on the 12th Australian time (11th USA time) and had a 2-3 week ship estimate. Cannot wait!!

I need some sympathy. I dropped by a local Apple store after a show this afternoon and the guy at the door said that he hasn't seen the rMBP 2.7 w/ 16GB RAM - so I roamed the store and then was purchasing the MagSafe convertor. I noticed the guy ringing me up was a manger so I asked him about the same computer. He did some checking and then came back to tell me that they had one unit they sold an hour ago! I am so bummed - if I had stopped at the store on my way to the theatre I would be a proud owner and canceling my online order. Lesson learned - don't believe the guy at the door! Now I keep watching my online order! :-( July 9 can't come soon enough!

if July 9th is your date, you should be good since most of the orders are shipping earlier.

Very odd. My tracker just updated to say it "Left FedEx origin facility" on June 30th at 10:28pm. The "Package received after FedEx cutoff" is timestamped at June 30th 9:08pm. So I have no idea what is happening to my laptop right now haha, let alone why the tracker just gave me an update from yesterday...

Import release in Shanghai at 12:35, in transit at 12:37, and a subsequent in transit in Shanghai at 5:21 AM. This seems par for the course with most other shipments.

It's about 9 AM Monday in China right now, it's about 5 PM Sunday in Anchorage... what are the odds it could get in early enough tomorrow (AK time) to also leave AK the same day?

Am I just being presumptuous on going to AK? Or is it random?

Ordered RMBP 2.3 with 256GB and upgrade to 16G RAM on 6/18. Delivery date of July 17-23 estimate at the time of order.

Shipped on Friday from Shanghai and should be to me tomorrow!

I'm attributing it to avoiding all urges to check the order status every day....

But really, you are just one of the few lucky ones. There are a ton of people who ordered the same configuration 5 days before you who are still at the processing stage.

Finally shipped. Got an email from Apple Saturday morning at 10ish central time. Missed FedEx cutoff and finally hit the air today. Estimated delivery July 6th by 10:30am.

2.6/8/512 ordered at 8:15 PM Central.(Minneapolis)
Went to preparing on 6/25.
Ship notification 6/30
Flew out of Shanghai 7/2/11 at 12:37AM.

Seems like the ultimates and stock 2.6 systems are the last to ship. Another reason I should have went with 16 GB.

At least its on the way.

Maybe some truth to that since my 6/12 order was delivered Jun 27th
and only took 2 days to ship after going to preparing.

But should go fast once it gets to US....

FedEx hasn't updated yet but I just saw that the flight from Memphis has landed at my local airport.

exactly the same for me... :/ i feel like it never left and the next flight is only tuesday... then wedensday is july 4th so it would come on thursday instead of monday..! Really hope it made it and they just haven't scanned it yet, anybody had the same kind of tracking?

that blows...i still am surprised that these can't be picked up at the stores yet.

Wife loves mine and wants a new one, but I am holding out until the stock models are in the stores. That has to be sooner that 3-4 weeks wait when ordering.

Mine shows up the same way, and I paid for upgraded shipping. I presume the factories ship out batches to the FedEx facility and they have a cutoff time before they're processed. I've got movement right now though.

Sure enough, my order was placed as left destination in Memphis and I checked only to see there was a plane that left Mem at the exact timestamp bound for PDX. Plane just landed, and I should be seeing my rMBP tomorrow! 5 days ahead of schedule

Same situation here. For some reason mine went from Anchorage to Oakland CA and then to Memphis.

Mine shows as departed Memphis too - but at 7.27pm (CST) so I wonder if it missed the plane. Ah well.
