Preparing for Shipment

My 2.6/16/512, ordered with the EDU discount on 6/15 has just clicked over to preparing for shipment!! (Headed to Oregon, USA) :D

Called apple, because seems like people that ordered same config after me are receiving their computers while my computer is processing... They said in a nutshell that they don't believe it, and the computers are made in order!!!
 
Finally light at the end of the shipping tunnel!!!!!

Ahhh less then 10 miles from destination. I called FedEx and will be arriving today before 1030 a day ahead of FedEx estimated arrival. Remain positive folks yours is coming soon too!

Im in Vancouver, Canada, ordered mine on 6/27 and still processing but im supposed to get the gift card by tomorrow...

I don't think I've ever read so many posts on a forum before haha, everyone is so anxious to get the rMBP, I know I am! I've never had a Mac before, so this is going to be quite a change for me... used to hate apple up until i got my first iPod shuffle few years back, that changed my whole outlook on Apple products.. pretty much a fan boy now.:)

Ordered on 6/15/12 with an initial delivery date of 7/19 - 7/25 but I called in to get free expadited shipping which moved it to 7/13 - 7/19. I also received the free drive too.

How are people getting the shipping upgrade and free drive? WANT!
 
Does anyone else find it funny that people who spent 2 grand on a computer that does away with the archaic superdrive are really excited to get a free superdrive?

Yay! Arrived this morning.

Spreadsheet update:
2.7 GHz/16 GB/768 GB, EDU, Ordered ~5 PM on June 11th
Arrived this morning at Columbus, OH

No apparent screen problems; will test for ghosting soon.
 
Ordered 21st - 2.3ghz/256gb/16gb still 'Processing' (UK / EDU discount)

Estimated 23 Jul, 2012 - 27 Jul, 2012

So long still :(

Anybody order on a similar date to me and have changed to despatched etc?
 
It arrived

I'm finally at peace. Checked tracking when I got to work and it was "On truck for delivery" sped home and about 2 mins after I got home the FedEx van pulled up. Thank GOD I checked. I would have been pissed if I missed it and had to wait longer.

2.6/8/512. Ordered June 11 at 8:15 central. Went Preparing on June 25th. Shipped June 30 (missed cut off). Left China July 2nd. Arrived July 5th.

Best of luck to those waiting.

I called in to ask about the estimated delivery time... While talking I voiced my concern about canceling my order due to the extended delivery time and the fact the RMBP doesn't have a disk drive... She spoke to her manager and I got the upgraded shipping and the free drive. Easy!

That is exactly what mine says too. Hope they update it soon.
 
I got sick of waiting for rMBP to ship so I ordered one of these a few days ago:

It arrived. Bah I can't believe apple keep cocking up releases like this, doesn't seem to happen to anyone else. Well I wont be getting a rMBP until they sort themselves out maybe i'll get it with the Haswell refresh as they should have enough time to sort themselves out by then!
 
I submitted a "Hold at Location" request almost right after it shipped because I didn't trust the herp-derp employees of my apartment complex to sign off and hold my package (they've lost things in the past, sent them back with no notification to me they'd even received an item), and at the time it told me to check back later for status. It now say "At FedEx destination facility" as of about a half our ago. Should I just stroll into the FedEx I designated? Would they just need my tracking info and ID, or?

Helps if you quote order numbers of ones that have shipped ahead of you. Takes a lot of the hemming and hawwing out.
