Ordered a base model on June 12. Est delivery is July 9-13. Still processing. I wanted to cancel my order 2 weeks ago and upgrade to 16gb ram. Regretting my decision to not upgrade now that people who are ordering bto options are actually getting theirs before me.

Ordered base with 16GB on the 17th, just went to Preparing about 10 minutes ago. Yay!! :D

How are people tracking flights? I've put my reference number into http://expo.expeditors.com/ and its saying:

Booked
SHANGHAI, CHINA TO LONDON, ENGLAND
Export P/O Received: 05-Jul-2012 16:12:00 GMT

So from that i'm assuming that its flying from China straight to London?

Click on the middle tab and you will find more details. You should find it is flying on a lufthansa flight from Shanghai to Frankfurt. It will then be travelling by Frankfurt to Heathrow but that is via a lorry and not via the air.

June 18th order 2.6/16/512 delivers July 16-20 via 2-3 business days. USA store.apple.com. Just went to "Preparing for Shipment". Here is hoping I don't stay in preparing forever and get it on the low end of y estimated date.

Well mine just changed to preparing to ship. Unfortunately my window just went from July 9-13 to July 10-16. Should I call apple and complain? At this point I just want my computer so calling them is probably just a waste of time.

It is changed to "Shipped" at 11:05AM CT.

Estimated delivery: Jul 12, 2012 by 4:30 PM

Hope to get it on the 10th!! :D

Wow fast update just got an email from Apple saying my order shipped. FedEx tracking says picked up in Shanghai CN. Delivered July 11th by 10:30 am. That is 9 days earlier than the earliest estimate given by Apple. Again this was 2.6/16/512 ordered June 18th via apple online store

I hope that meant they are getting faster!

Just checked with my credit card company and they say that Apple put a hold on my credit card yesterday. Anyone know how soon after the hold, units usually ship?

I had a hold on my credit card after my order which cleared after 4 business days. Didn't ship until 2 weeks later.

6/11 fully loaded- still waiting but have proof of later orders shipping

I have been following this thread 10+ times a day for three weeks and finally needed to join. I ordered fully max 2.7/16/768 within 3 hours of store opening with the 3-5 week window (deliver 9-20). I have been fairly chill regarding the ordering except for checking my order 5-10 times a day and this site 10+. I had heard that some of the later orders were shipping earlier and felt it was urban legend. However, one of my closest friends ordered exactly the same computer (2.7/16/768) to the same city. He ordered his on 6/14 and had an delivery window of 7/12-7/18). Only problem is his order shipped on 7/2 and arrived 7/3. i called apple yesterday to explain how this "urban legend" was now fact. i had my friends order number and apple manager looked it up and verified. long and short of it is nothing really changed. i didn't ask for anything, but it is at least fact and they are aware. I am still processing and find it ridiculous that apple has skipped its biggest fanboys and fangirls who ordered $4000 fully stocked machines. go figure..... just wanted to set the record straight

This makes me really believe that the order on 06/11 never did anything. I'm wondering if this hold is from the new order that I placed yesterday! I no longer trust that my 06/11 order will ever be filled so I have a Plan C. Plan B is daily calls to the six stores in my area.

Thanks for providing fact to the so-called "Urban Legend" - I still think there is a glitch in their system that they either won't recognize or just won't admit. Maybe the unit I ordered yesterday will ship early and beat my 06/11 order! In the meantime, I'm listening to the Apple recorded message with 2 calls ahead of me.

Ask to speak to a manager immediately or you'll be wasting your time. Please post what you hear. I'm still processing too and have send emails to a member of their executive relations team. Hopefully there will be strength in numbers...

Yeh i think online orders really get shafted in favour of store stock. Pretty crappy.

2.7/16/768 ordered on 6/11

Has anyone had a 768 ship (or heard of one shipping) in the last few days? It seems like there was no movement for a while, then a few 2-3 weekers got theirs in a burst, and then again no movement for several days. Does that seem right? I don't remember seeing a single person on this thread comment about a 768 shipping for the last few days.

So glad to see all the activity today. I do feel really bad for the people who ordered base model systems and are still waiting, yet apple sends tons of these to 3rd parties and even it's own stores. Very poor service.

if you ship this weekend, you should get this by Tuesday/Wednesday area

2.7/16/768 ordered on 6/11

Even speaking to the supervisor is a WASTE! Bottom line - if they are within their quote date - then tough luck! (My words, not their words!) Back to calling the 6 area stores. Let's see if my July 5 order ships before the June 11 order.

Still processing here
Ordered 14th June Base model 8GB
Dispatched 3 - 4 weeks
Delivers 13th - 19th July
If im right in saying delivery takes a week in the UK, they better get their arses into gear since a week today is the 13th.

8GB models are taking so much longer I wouldn't have thought they would. But as someone said earlier, they are in higher demand because those are the models instore. :(

768/2.7/16 here ordered the 19th. Supposed to deliver the 17-22. Do we have any movement on those orders or the one who ordered the 19th?

I got the same comment from Apple support tech as well as their manager. She said that as long as they're within the estimated window there's nothing that she will do other then cancel my order if I want.
