Still waiting. Why do they make the cancel button so big iv'e almost clicked on it
twice today.
 
Anyone wanting the base 8gb model in the uk - i heard currys have got some in,atleast they claimed to a couple of days ago.Strangely they wont send it,only in store pick ups.

Do you know if Apple does "shipping preparations" on the weekend? It looks like people with orders from June 18th are getting theirs prepared today, so it might mean that if you cross your fingers ours will reach that state tomorrow - if not, then Monday. Monday is when I have to return my MacBook Air, so I hope it won't be too much longer than that.

Why would people spend more money on a computer that they can buy in stores? Or is it really that hard to get them in the stores now? When they first came out I got mine a couple days later and received calls the following weeks from stores I called that got them in stock and asked if I still was looking for one.

I think by the time the auction ends on eBay and the shipment is delivered, several stores will have gone through a few stocks of it. The only reason I ordered mine online is because of the customization, but he will be selling a base model that's available in store.

Once again today they told me they didn't have any. Then five minutes later one called and said they actually did. I raced to the store and now it's all mine. Called Apple and cancelled (that's what clicking the cancel button tell you'd to do). I now have $200 worth of gift cards ($100 of which I paid for) because of the EDU special but it's my first Mac so I'm sure I'll use it. Good luck to you all!

Hmm...seems you and I ordered the same machine 2.7/16/512 (ordered early AM 06-15-2012). Today mine #finally went into "Preparing for Shipment."

Why do I smell an EPIC FAIL around the corner? (>_<)

Not at all happy with my Apple online store experience this time around. Seeing orders placed two weeks later than mine being delivered is really frustrating.

I ordered a base model on 6/11 and the estimated delivery dates were June 26-July 6. It arrived July 2nd after being in preparing for shipping for five days. I think because so many of these are being shipped to the retail stores, they are not shipping them very fast from the Apple Online Store.

Best of luck--it will come, just not very fast!

Use the APPLE STORE app from your iphone or Ipad to check your status. There is no cancellation button that you can inadvertently hit. Problem solved.
 
15/6 still processing, 2.2/8/256 model. Getting rather annoyed now as it is looking increasingly likely that I won't be getting this within my shipping estimate. Needs to be shipped by Wednesday next week to stand a chance given the long UK shipping times from China (like 7 days).

Now I am getting pretty annoyed. Anybody know what the procedure is for Apple (UK experience really) if they fail to meet their delivery estimates?

2.7Ghz | 16GB RAM | 768GB SSD

The shipping estimate was 3 - 5 weeks and the third week just past. Two more weeks to go while I read about people receiving their laptops early on this forum. :mad:

No... I'm a 6/11 3-5 week person (2.6/16/768) no movement at all. Still processing.

This prompted me to check my order status one more time, as I'm in the exact same boat (2.7 / 16GB / 768GB, ordered on the 18th). Sure enough, it's finally preparing for shipment :D
