I just popped on a new high-end 2012 MacBook Pro 13" 2.9ghz i7 with the BTO 1TB hard drive...it already comes with 8GB of RAM, so for my uses, it'll be great.

I ordered at like 4pm the second the Canadian store came back online. No email confirmation, but delivers june 26-28 standard shipping.
4pm Eastern time?

Mine's at ~6:30pm Eastern and it says between 6/28 and 7/3, but with the fast shipping option though.

Still no confirmation email for my base 15" Retina, but the order status says June 25-28 (faster shipping option selected)

Ordered mine when the site came up. About 3:30 est. ordered 16gb and 512 flash order page shows preparing for shipment.

Ordered two 2.7,16GB,768GB. Unfortunately the wait for the larger flash storage is "3-5 weeks".

Well damn after finding ram not user upgradable wishing I ordered 16 GB =( I don't want to wait the 3 weeks that the order time is now though =(

So is it really going to be 5-7 days or weeks as it says? Wouldn't it just be faster to cancel now and just wait for the in-store pick up to open?

Or will they ship our earlier then 5-7 days.

Whats the order page say.. If its preparing for shipment it shouldnt be 10 days out yet..

Says preparing for shipment on the order status with expected delivery of 21st to 25th. Will I get it before than, have no idea

I think it'll be earlier. But regardless, many people have custom built (mine is 16 GB ram, for example) so you can't just go buy it in person. I also assume there will be quite a line at the retail stores tomorrow morning.

I've lived in Japan for the past couple years and still have a couple months left here, so I had to order through the JP Apple store instead. With the education discount, it still came out to be pretty similar in price, and still getting a US keyboard was key (ha).

Also, shipping here takes 2 days tops, so I've got that working for me :D

Hoping it shows up before the dates here :D, but if not oh well.

Ram is upgradeable

How come everyone is saying that the ram is not upgrade-able? i called apple and the employee told me that the Flash memory was not upgrade-able, but the ram was? i hope i wasn't given false information because it would have influenced my purchase differently.

The ram you order it with is what you get for the rest of its life. However the SSD will most likely be upgradable seeing as they're probably using the same pin connector. I just went with the 16GB.
