You probably just don't have tracking, just like me.

By the way, it got here like a week ago, so those dates were way off.

I would think they would just put it in an envelope and mail it by USPS. Was the tracking button right next to the gift card on the order status page? I looked everywhere and I can't find anything. Maybe mine won't track.

i got no tracking info for the gift card as it went through standard mail. I just got an estimated delivery date, and the card came in 2 days early of that.

@StuLax, have you called any of the apple stores here in dallas, to see if they have any rmbp in stock? I was trying to see if they had any so i could just cancel my order and pick one up in store.

I want the 16 GB, so BTO is my only option. I only went into the store to play with a floor model. At that time they were sold out of the base, but did have some of the high models. This was like a month ago though.

If you were to buy in store, I would go to Best Buy because they were having a sale, and also seemed to get them in stock better.

Ordered the 14th of june (2.7GHz/16GB Ram/768GB SSD) and still waiting for it. My Reseller promissed that Apple told them that the first rMPBs are about to arrive next week...

rMBP: 2.3/16/256
OD: July-3rd
ship-to: USA

Status still shows Processing. don't understand how orders past july-3rd are getting shipped. Unless my system has some issues during testing and probably stuck some where in manufacturing process...

What's this Mountain Lion wallpaper on the order status page that people mention when referring to whether or not their rMBP will come with ML preinstalled or not? What does that/should that look like?

Has anybody had any luck getting Fedex to do a Saturday delivery, or getting them to leave it at a depot on Saturday for weekend pickup? Mine's supposed to be delivered on Monday but I have a feeling it will be in town by Friday just not with enough time for Friday delivery. I really want to use it on the weekend. Any thoughts?

RMBP estimated delivery date

Hi my RMBP was shipped on the 23rd and the estimated delivery date is next monday I live in the UK is there a high possibility that it could be here on friday or saturday?

If only there was a thread where people could discuss their open macbook pro orders....owait

To echo other posters, I didn't get any tracking info for the card either, it just came in the mail one day, way ahead of schedule. It is as if Apple knew how long the rMBP would take to deliver...

this is interesting...

I just got an email from a "management representative for the Apple Online Store" wanting to talk about my order. I tried giving her a call, but she didn't answer. Wonder what that is all about?

Nope, we are not in the same shipment. I can see all of the orders in my shipment and your number isn't there. If it's any consolation, your number 8211377454 is before mine 8211427380 so you should be on an earlier shipment all things being equal. My shipment includes orders from 8211424496 to 8211441455.

Wouldn't it be just easier if they kept like 1 million gift cards at the facility computers are delivered to right before the real shipment to customers?:roll eyes: Just wondering of course...

Still nothing, I also tried to enter a fake tracking number, I get the same page I get when I insert my true tracking number...
I can't stay home all day on the 31st... and I'd like to know much beforehand if it's getting going to be delivered to me the day after tomorrow or on Monday... what's wrong with giving tracking numbers for merging shipments??

Still no word (number..?;)) from Apple...

The iTunes cards are just a card with a code you redeem at the App Store so it would make more sense to simply send that code to the email addy of the person who bought the computer (or the Apple ID email addy). It does seem weird to say the least that you have less info than me yet your delivery date is before mine.

Edit: I just checked again at the exp.o website and get the following info:

27-Jul-2012 15:00:00 CEST Requested Delivery Date (Events tab)

26-Jul-2012 15:00:00 CEST Estimated Time of Delivery (Time Line tab)

Again, I still have no idea if those dates correspond to initial shipping movement from Amsterdam to Stockholm (where I am) OR if they are final dates for delivery to me.

It does seem highly unlikely I will get my rMBP tomorrow or Friday though.

I look forward to seeing what happens with our orders, since we are 3 days apart, same config, same location. I can't remember if you were EDU, but I am, and regular shipping.

Yes I am EDU, however I was upgraded to expedited shipping. Obviously, I will let you know as soon as I see a change w/ my order

Isn't July 27th the probable delivery date by which your computer and your card should reach the "merging centre" that will merge them together?
If so July 27th would also be the date by which you'd receive a tracking number from apple.

I thought so at first but my MBP and the card both apparently arrived on the 24th so those dates must mean something else.

Let us know what they say. It seems like the whole orders get shipped in order thing is false.

They totally gave me the run around. I was very cordial and polite and put it all in conversational tones. The agent was passive aggressive in tone and made a big play about not knowing anything and insisted that orders are processed in the sequence they are placed in. Which as we know is bull.

I offered up an order number of someone here who placed the and order later for the same model/configuration, through the same order route (Education store), shipping to the same place (US), yet had already gotten their order shipped (and I have other numbers for other instances of the same sort!). They claimed that they cannot look up statuses of other orders. Oh really? Didn't I just give them my order number to look that up? Why yes, yes I did!

Liars. They're brazen liars. But I saw that I was up against a completely uncooperative person, so I politely thanked them for their time, bid them a fine day, and hung up after exchanging further superficial pleasantries.

Have you got any idea as to why expedited shipping costs so much more than it costs in the US?

From what I've gathered expedited shipping in the US is something like +14$, in the Italian EDU store it was more like +35€.

Anyway I tried various tracking numbers on opex, identical to mine and yours except for the last 4 - 5 digits. They either don't exist (yet?) like mine, or are in different shipments which were bound to London or Amsterdam and are to be delivered on July 27th (like yours).
So, I reckon, it's either a widespread issue with much anticipated delivery dates or you are really going to receive yours on July 27th.

I think the reality is that they are shipping in order of the areas with the biggest demand. I am in Australia, Melbourne, and thus have been relegated to the 'not so important' basket probably due to the number of orders being much lower than US regions. Ah well. Again just incase there's anyone else out there with similair I ordered July 10 (11th AUS) 2.3/16/256 expected delivery July 31st - August 6th. The closest ship date is looking more and more unlikely
