Anyway I tried various tracking numbers on opex, identical to mine and yours except for the last 4 - 5 digits. They either don't exist (yet?) like mine, or are in different shipments which were bound to London or Amsterdam and are to be delivered on July 27th (like yours).
So, I reckon, it's either a widespread issue with much anticipated delivery dates or you are really going to receive yours on July 27th.

Wow, that is a high price for Express Delivery! Here in Sweden, the cost works out to about $13 US. I have no idea why it is so much higher in Italy.

I really dont think I'll get mine on the 26th (today) or the 27th. It's more than likely that those dates correspond to the dates they leave Amsterdam on their way to me. That would result in a delivery date closer to the Aug. 2nd date I originally received albeit possibly a day or two earlier.

Have you tried calling Apple Customer Service?

Same here.
My number is 8211608259. And Apple says it was shipped two days ago (24th).

I hate that when I don't know where my MBP is right now.

Still no tracking number BUT the "Shipment status" page doesn't have the footnote reading "tracking number and courier service info for Merge-In-Transit Shipments will be provided within 48 business hours before the delivery", it just disappeared...

I didn't try calling the Apple Customer Service, at least here, when you ask Apple for further details, they tell you that the information you've already been provided with is just as much as the customer service knows about it.
Of course it's a lie, but I think they don't want to spread rumors about intermediaries and they don't want to receive too many calls: the idea is "what we know is what you can already see on the internet, don't bother us to ask something you can't find on the web, we simply won't tell you".

What about your footnote? Still there?
Does it mean I am finally going to receive a tracking number within 24 hours?

I have the same thing, it's gone.

I had yesterday briefly Preparing handover to final courier or whatever now it says "In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule". No tracking number.

Do you think there's a tracking number search engine?
it'd be just nice if could put a reference like a phone number or the internal shipping code and find out the courier service that's delivering it and the related tracking number.

Yeah I tried entering the apple's delivery number to few couriers, nothing came up.

My page just updated with the tracking number, so you'll probably get one soon too! Getting mine on tuesday/wednesday it seems, shipped on 20th so that's like 12 days, pretty lame.
 
eek, fdx28 left shanghai but fedex order tracking has not changed since the stupid "received after cutoff" from yesterday morning.. hope its on the plane!:eek:
 
BHPhotos has (almost) everything rMBP in stock. Yes, even the 16GB and the SSD options are available. Just cancelled my Apple order and got it from BHPHoto, laptop should arrive mid next week, confirmed. Free shipping and tax free. I even pickup Applecare for half the cost. Good luck all.

Thats good to hear, Kind of crazy that they had BTO options put together just to stock, unless they are drop-shipping from apple.

FINALLy, after nearly a week it was shipped, I got a UPS tracking number!
But UPS says:

""A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status--including the scheduled delivery date--will be updated.""

Anyone knows how long it takes?
It's so hard to schedule a delivery when you are constantly crossing the city up and down...

My footnote is gone as well and hopefully i have good news (for me, sorry!)...I just checked again with exp.o and can now see the following:

26-Jul-2012 15:40:00 CEST Out for Delivery

The strange this is that it still says Aug 2 on the Apple website.

I have absolutely no idea what is happening.

Ok: I now think that the "Out for Delivery" is meant to be delivery from the Airport Cargo facility to the Shipping company that will ultimately deliver my MBP to me.

@Muffin87 - Congrats on getting the UPS info. Hope it arrives soon!

I read on here a few pages back that someone called and Apple support told them all machines ORDERED on or after the 25th will have ML preinstalled.

Just curious, did you happen to notice if your card was charged prior to it changing from "Processed" to "Preparing"?

I'm guessing that (US orders, at least) Apple makes a preliminary charge of around $15 1-2 days before the status changes from "Processing" to "Preparing". Others have gotten this charge, and I got charged yesterday. I'm currently waiting to see how long it'll be before my order goes to "preparing" (others have seen 2 days, but I'm hoping mine will go faster, now that the backlog is decreasing). :D

Unfortunately, I decided to go with standard shipping (bad call), so when my card got charged, it was charged in full.

I already did have Apple do a preliminary charge too. It showed up on my statement for a few days after I ordered and it disappeared after like 2 days. I'm guessing this charge I got is the real deal.

Still processing though... :confused:

the two were pretty close together. I went to print off the "pre sign" form for my backpack and noticed that my laptop went to "preparing". Afterwards, i checked my credit card and saw the charge.
 
Last post in this thread for me.

I placed my original order for a 2.7/16/512 on July 5th.

Called and cancelled that order on July 12th. Reordered the next day over the phone and got the same machine for a few hundred bucks less on a corporate discount. New order date was July 13th. Shipped out on the 21st, expedited by Apple, received on the 23rd.

I think maybe since the discount was only a paperwork issue, the Apple rep on the phone probably just reinstated my original order which kept me from getting sent to the back of the line.

Good luck everyone, this machine is really nice!

Weird. I did get the expedited shipping, though. I'm expecting my rMBP to ship within the next few days, and so I'm watching my CC and the order status page rather closely. A mysterious $15 charge showed up on my card yesterday (which others have had), and so I'm hoping that's a sign that my status will change by tomorrow.

I have the same message on my tracking page. So that pretty much means they haven't really passed it on to UPS yet?
