Macbook Pro 2012 Order Status thread (all models)

I just got my 2.6/16/512 RMBP ordered on June 26th a while ago. In general the computer is very nice but unfortunately I'm going to have it replaced due to faulty screen (noticeable dead pixel spot in the middle) and ghosting. I hope the replacement will be better.

I only got an estimate of initially August 3-10 as ship date, august 9-14 estimated delivery. and it has not shipped yet so who knows.. it could be preparing for several days before they let it out.
 
Card has been charged and PREPARING FOR SHIPMENT!

FINALLY.

The only sad part is it seems unlikely that I'll have it for the weekend, even thou I paid for expedited shipping. Any thoughts on how I might ensure I get it?

There is no shipper or Tracking number available and that info won't be available until our gift cards and computers have been merged into one package somewhere along the way.

Today I got an email from Apple with my invoice and it contains the serial number to my new rMBP so I can at least download ML when it is released at some point today.

Did you require that email? I didn't get anything today :(

Your exact estimated date of delivery is July 31st, am I right?
At this point, I guess there's no way we are going to receive our macs within Friday... There still isn't any information regarding the courier service and the tracking number.
Since these 2 are provided at least 48 hours before the actual delivery, it's most probably going to be next week..

ML is Mountain Lion the newest Mac OS. It is going to be available for download at some point today via the Mac App Store. Since you have purchased a new Mac, you get ML for free instead of having to pay 19.99 (US) for it.

You will need to fill in the form on this page to get ML:

http://www.apple.com/osx/uptodate/

I believe you need to fill in your new MBP's serial number on the Up To Date webpage in order to confirm you are eligible to get ML for free so the email I received today is important as it contains the serial number.

My order was placed on July 2nd and was originally scheduled for delivery between Aug. 6th-10th but now has a more precise Aug. 2nd date. From the exp.o website, it looks like they are requesting a delivery date of July 27th which is either the date it will start it's final delivery to my place OR is when it is expected to arrive at my place. At this point, I still have no tracking info from Apple itself or even a courier. Nada.

Check your original delivery notification email from Apple and look for a delivery number starting with '8' and put that number in the box under Track Your Freight and then press Search. Don't change anything else. It should then give you tracking info like I showed a few posts ago.

The "track your fright" on what website? On apple?
Because the only tracking link I've noticed so far is the one in the order page!

Finally went to preparing for shipment between 0200 and 0900 EST.

July 5 order/ 2.3/16/256

So hopefully I get an actual shipping number today.

Watch everyones processing orders switch to preparing to ship now that ML is live (saying this so hopefully it comes true :rolleyes:)

I sure hope so! I don't have a computer right now, so I've been having to do everything off my iPhone and iPad.

Plus Minecraft 1.3 is coming out soon!!

Nope, we are not in the same shipment. I can see all of the orders in my shipment and your number isn't there. If it's any consolation, your number 8211377454 is before mine 8211427380 so you should be on an earlier shipment all things being equal. My shipment includes orders from 8211424496 to 8211441455.

You probably will... mine went to preparing last night(same specs) and I just got the shipment notification this morning...

They must have gotten a load of 2.3/16 logic boards in from their supplier all at once considering your order was on 7/5 and mine on 7/19.

I am guessing there is no way ill get it by noon on saturday before i have to leave until monday afternoon. Oh well whats another couple of days
 
I am also signing off to this topic, just received my brand new rMBP wich i am typing on right now :D

ordered @22/6 specs 2,3/8/256 shipped 18/7 received 25/7 including gift card.

Hang in there too all that are still waiting. :apple:

If they did, then they didn't get enough apparently. I ordered 2.3/16 on 7/13 and it still stuck in processing. :(

Edit: Ordered on 7/13, not 6/13. Dumb fingers!

Interesting thing. FYI, I ordered a base model (2.3/8/256) on July 14. When I just checked my order on Apple's site, the icon symbolizing the rMBP is now showing Mountain Lion's default background. I'm not sure it particularly means that it ships with ML, but it's interesting at least.

I am going to call Apple about this. Would you mind PMing me just your order number to that I might have proof of the fact that later orders do get processed sooner, should they dispute that? I'd be much obliged. :)

Let us know what they say. It seems like the whole orders get shipped in order thing is false.

Cool! The background changed on mine as well. Hope it ships with ML.
 
Has anybody had any luck getting FedEx to hold a shipment for pickup on Saturday? My order is scheduled to be delivered on Monday because it shipped a day too late (ie: it won't be out for delivery by Friday). If I redirect it to a fedex location that is open on the weekend, is there a chance I could pick it up Sat? Does anybody know if it's possible to pay extra for Sat delivery? Or am I totally stuck and going to have to wait for Monday?

Could those people, whose MBP were shipped this week inform us if their MBPs have ML installed as soon as they get them?
