Yeah sadly I have a very hard time picking up on insinuations and the like. Makes for some awkward social circumstances in general. I wish I knew how to pick up on the same cues everyone else seems to. And when I put some out, they always go unnoticed and are too subtle.
Human behavior mesmerizes me. Maybe I have Aspergers or something...

Looks like there is some movement on my shipment. My laptop left memphis and is due to arrive at Dulles shortly.

Preparing for shipping is kind of meh. It just means another 24 hours before they have the device ready and packaged up for transport. I assume your shipment preparation will happen in the next few hours since it's Sunday morning in China already and it will ship Monday morning.
I highly doubt you will have to wait longer than next Tuesday the 26th to get your MacBook. The 7-10 day guys are getting their packages shipped slowly as we speak so yours should be going out in the next two days or so. Shipment overall shouldn't take longer than 4 business days.
The worst part about this is that I also ordered ext DVD and MagSafe to MagSafe2 converters and they have arrived a few days ago. What am I going to do with them (without the rMBP)? Huh hahahaha!!!
Hehe well the 26th is thursday not tuesday but that would honestly make my existence. We'll see I guess as long as i get it before next next week friday I'll be happy but earlier would be better.
Run around supplying the converters to people, charging them $1/hour for use. Make some money while you wait.
*EDIT* Oh snap, my tracking just updated. Apparently they forgot to scan its arrival at the airport earlier this morning. Now the package is departing my local airport in Newark, most likely to a closer FedEx facility for Monday morning delivery. For the win!

Lucky you! Mine's been in Anchorage all day and for some weird reason, it doesn't seem to have been loaded up onto the plane that left Anchorage for Memphis an hour ago, even though they would have had plenty of time to load it up. Hopefully there is another flight leaving Anchorage soon, or that they just forgot to update the tracking info...
Does it seem strange that '3-4 weeks' have not slipped to '4-5 weeks' yet? On the launch date, the standard config (ie. 2.3 & 2.6) rMBP were shipping in 2-3 days and all BTO were 2-3 weeks. A few hours later, standard config slipped to 7 - 10 days, meanwhile BTO slipped to 3-4 weeks. About a day after the launch, everything was up at 3-4 weeks.
I am thinking that, over the past few days, with good reviews and all that, even more people would have ordered and I would expect the delay to slip to 4-5 weeks and then 5-6 weeks, etc., but so far it has not. Why I wonder? Has the production gone into full swing and they are able to keep up with demands? Any thoughts, anyone?

I think the new rMBP comes with its own charger so if I want to make extra money, I will have to hang around at Starbucks where people may have forgotten to bring their chargers!! Lol
I don't think so because they were very conservative with shipping dates and they are also in the process of supplying stores. There is always a big surge in the first month then a drop off. Plus these are $2k+ systems. The impulse buyers will buy immediately, the more conservative people will wait a little.
They are good at tracking when a package leaves (they missed a scan when it arrived for my airport this morning however).
That said, my package stayed at an Anchorage for over 26 hours before it finally shipped out. I suspect the same will happen to you.
Also, seems the FedEx site is down. Failsauce. Might have to pick up this party tomorrow morning.
I fear you might be right. My RMBP missed flight 60 to Memphis. It also missed flight 12 to Memphis, and of course flight 92 to Newark. Looks like it might sit in Alaska and enjoy the scenery for a while, probably like 26 hours or so...
I called my local Apple store Friday at around 330 and they told me they had a few in stock, I drop everything and rush over and 20 minutes get there.
They make me wait 15 minutes only to tell me that as it turn out they actually sold out a few hours ago, the three times prior that I called to ask if they had any in I was told they did not but in fact they had a few in store, the one time where they did not have any I was told that they did.
Frustrating...
Back to waiting for the online order, did I mention that I cancelled my first order that I actually manage to make over the phone before the online store was back up? Oh yeah I would have this thing already

Only look at flights going to Memphis tomorrow. My package had to go to Memphis before it went to Newark as Memphis is the main FedEx hub for the continental US which makes it important that a majority of the packages they deliver go through that hub.
Ordered maybe 15 minutes after the change from 5-7 to 7-10 and I'm still sitting at processing. Went with Base rMBP + 16GB
Hoping something updates Monday.
