Ordered day 1?

Won't be very long, more then likely will get shipping notification Sunday night.

Yep... I originally ordered the 8Gb Retina Display, and as soon as found out that you couldn't upgrade it... I canceled the order and went with the 16Gb. (About an hour later.) My first order was 5 - 7 days the second order moved to 7 - 10 days.

Awesome. It sounds like the 7-10 orders are starting to go out. Hopefully not much longer until the 2-3 week club. It seems like the 2-3 week group is much larger though

I don't know why I keep refreshing when it's still processing and delivery says 3-4 weeks away.

Chrome > Plugins > Auto Refresh Plus > Interval > 5 seconds > Page Monitor > Play Sound On > Lose Target "Processing Items" > Start

Or... you could simply wait for an email confirmation that your package has processed....

Horrible launch anyone? Father's day would be a perfect excuse for many people to get this in store, but it's nowhere to find in stores and store reps don't even know when it arrives. Going oversees for 3 months on Monday, would've loved it by then.

It does seem to be much bigger, but I'm hoping that once they start to get better supplies in Apple Stores and other computer stores then people will start cancelling their online orders and we'll hopefully move up the list a wee bit.

Where did you see that? I'm 7-10 and still processing!

nonameguy had a 7-10 day order that looks like it's gone out already.

My 7-10 day order is still processing as well. I did go by Best Buy last night and play with one in person for a while. The display is a really winner in my eyes.

On top of that they said 7-10 Jun 26-29. That's more than 10 days. That's more like 11-14 business days not 7-10...

Anybody else in the 3-4 week club?

:(

Yep, think there are a lot of us. Hoping for a few days to be shaved off, not the end of the world if not though.

Ordered Jun 13
Ships in: 3 - 4 Weeks
Delivery 12 Jul, 2012 - 18 Jul, 2012

you would think they would be sending out these in "chunks" depending on what ordering group you are in but it seems they are just trickling out. So as the Apple reps say "who knows when we will get these things"

It seems like production started the week of the announcement. There was little to no backstock. I feel like I have ordered at a fast food restaurant or something. They prepare it once you order it.

Kinda bad on Apple's part, but that might be because they didn't want the product to leak before WWDC.

And? I've never found a need to use OSX. I'm not a photographer, or "art" major. My use for a laptop is for an occasional game, hardware/cad engineering, and software development (with MS VS). There was absolutely no need for me to dabble with a $2k+ machine.

Having said that, I saw a picture of 2880x1800 with W8, and was amazed by the size of the workspace, hence why I purchased the machine.

My point is that you called someone out for a fanboy comment after you made a fanboy comment.

Also, many people are using Macs that have nothing to do with photography or art. Probably most actually..

I think you are very close to being right. I ran my serial number in one of those checkers and got this:

Group1: MacBook
Group2: Pro
Generation:
Machine Model: MacBookPro10,1
Model introduced: 2012
Production year: 2012
Production week: 24 (June)
CPU speed: 2.3GHz
Family name: Become a pro user to see this information. (sorry)
Screen size: 15 inch
Screen resolution: 2880x1800 pixels
Colour: Please tell us what colour this MacBook is.
Capacity: 8GB

Well, production week 24 would be June 3rd-June 9th. And mine shipped out this Friday and is currently on a FedEx flight FX60 to Anchorage. So it looks like Apple only started production the week immediately before the WWDC.

Maybe someone who already got their can run their serial here to confirm:
