Oh what?! I ordered the same specs (but 2.3 instead) on August 2nd. Did your tracking data even say there was an international shipment?

Yeah pretty crazy but it went from China to Costa Mesa, CA in less than 1 day. Now time to open up and see if this screen is better than my last.

Mine was with yours through the first 3 tracking steps and then got held at the FedEx facility for 21 hours before International Shipment Release.

Was it shipped with Mountain Lion installed on it? DO you need to register up-to-date program?

Thanks!

Taking forever

I ordered my rMBP 2.3/16/256 on July 23 and I don't have it yet. At this rate, I'm thinking about just cancelling my order and re-ordering with the earlier ship times.

Does anybody know how much longer? From your experience?
It's now 8pm the latest activity was 7 hours ago.

Did you use expedited?

I originally had normal shipping then called them and had them expedite it for free since I told them I had returned the last one.

That sucks that it was held up like that. I guess mine escaped the batch lol

I just unboxed it right now and it has Mountain Lion and an LG Screen. Gonna compared it now to my other MBP.

Looks like this one will be going back as well. Check attached image vs my Mid 2010 MBP.

This is an LG Screen.

What do you mean as "white" as regular screens. It's obvious it's more yellow than my older mabook and I calibrated the screen as well. Apparently it's a known issue with a lot of other people as well.

hey could you elaborate more on that please? Howcome its normal for the screen to be yellow for Retina?

My prepared for shipment lasted a bit over 24 hrs

Congrats, when did you order?

Thanks. I ordered it just a few days ago, more specifically August 7 so just 3 days until it arrived. It was shipped from The Netherlands (no idea why, but I guess Apple has some sort of stock hub facility there) and I live in Paris, so it was pretty fast.

You're not in UK right? Maybe they do things differently. We don't get shipping options :/ I don't understand why Apple wouldn't want to let me pay them more for a expedited shipping. They only offer it on small things like accessories and iPod Nano.
.

I think they understand that if Americans don't get big wasteful boxes, we feel gypped. Also, it wouldn't feel like christmas every day for a week.

i ment arent as white as regularscreen. i assume u have an iphone 4 or 4s? compare the white on the iphone to a regular macbook screen, same difference

My iPhone is as white as my 2010 MBP. I calibrated the screen on the Retina and still a yellowish dull tint.

It's obvious that the the screens have issues from all the other threads.
