Decided to cancel my order for the 2.3GHz retina model. Too expensive and the I think Apple haven't treated me well with regards to my original order, especially considering I've bough a top model iMac and Macbook air all within the last few months...

Well first I'd like to say thank you for pushing me up one. Secondly, how did they not treat you well? I may have missed it in over 40 pages of this thread.

Sad to hear. On the plus side, it's one less Apple needs to produce before getting to the rest of ours :p

I looked at your previous post and it sounds like you had a glitch with your phone and the order didn't process. Doesn't seem like an Apple error but I can understand that you weren't exactly happy.

Also, I had looked into the Apple financing because I didn't know they offered such a thing. It IS a credit card and will charge you 23% interest from the date of purchase if you don't pay within a year. Now there are people who will pay within a year but many won't. I would recommend saving money, watching and seeing and then purchase the system you want after the dust has settled.

Apparently Fedex didn't update automatically. Mine arrived at my local facility at 6:51am and was put on a truck at 6:56am. Out for delivery!

If you live in a suburb of Chicago, it still has to go to your local FedEx warehouse. For example, all my packages end up in Chicago, but they have to go to Aurora, IL before they're "out for delivery".

Actually I live in the loop.

no progress since then...

Well, It technically says 2-3 week delivery, not 2-3 weeks till shipped. I'm a 3-4 weeker, so I'm not expecting anything, but ground shipping from china can take up to a week, so something in the next couple days for 2-3 weekers isn't that crazy if the goal is an early in the 2.

Well my 7-10 days is a shipping estimate. My delivery estimate is June 27 - July 3. This is with expedited shipping. My MacBook air shipped on Wednesday and will deliver today or tomorrow. It says tomorrow but going off the tracking it should arrive today as it is in Vancouver as of this morning so only one 2.5 hr flight to go!

Do the 2-3 week people have a shipping estimate also? And do you have an actual date range for delivery?

Mine is still processing this morning. It is a 2.7, 16GB, 512GB. If it ships by this Wednesday I'll be happy as I'll get it before I travel the next weekend.

Yay!

7:20AM here.. My package is still sitting at the airport.. They have three hours basically to get it to Longmont. I think it missed a scan somewhere

I'm tired to check this thread everyday... I need to stop doing that. I'm in the 2-3 weeks group, delivery between Jul 3 and Jul 10... They probably won't ship it until the middle of next week (27th) anyway...

I need to focus on something else...

Mine just arrived now! 2 days early too!! But I have so much to do before I want to open it, that I'll just force myself to open it tomorrow really really early in the morning :p

My 7-10 day just shipped. Went into Preparing for Shipment yesterday afternoon then had my CC charged soon after and at 1:15AM I got a tracking number. With 2-3 day shipping FedEx says it'll be here on the 20th. Have hope 2-3 weekers!

Ordered same time! Mine finally went preparing for shipment sometime between 8:15 and 9:15 am EST. Hopefully yours will too!

Well to give an update for the 7-10 day guys I just received an email from Apple that mine has been shipped and in checking the tracking information has left Shanghai, CN at 3pm there time today so I wonder when do you guys think it will be here?

The estimated delivery says June 20th and I have Fedex Express shipping.

Thanks and kinda excited this wait has been killer reminds me of my first Dell XPS laptop back in 2005 lol

Well here's a bummer:

Mine was in the 7-10 day group and was supposed to ship out today, but I got an email from Apple saying the credit card is being denied. Okay, so normally you think "Well yeah idiot pay your bills and don't go over your limit."

I'd agree with you, but it's a business card with a 50k monthly limit, and the total charges this month are about 3% of that.:mad::mad::mad::mad:

I'm in the 3-4 week group. I was originally in the 2-3 week bracket but called in to change my ram from 8 to 16gb and then got bumped.

I'm hopeful it won't take that long to get here.

According to Barclays and Apple, phone browsers will crash the finance application no matter what...

Anyways, placed the order again as I was just informed by work that they will be buying me one anyways... save some cash and get a macbook pro. I don't mind waiting now;)

I think mine will arrive today! It's in Burlington already! (oh btw, I ordered another one last night :/ the 2.6GHz with anti-glare)

How much do you normally charge though? This month, my credit card bill is going to be 3x what I normally charge due to the purchase of 2 MBPs. I went to the credit card website and authorized the extra charges. You probably hit some fraud alert (American Express is really good with this if you have an Amex card). Just call them and let them know.

Now my computer is in Japan! What are they doing, I live in Virginia! After 2 days fooling around in China I wonder why they decided to move it to Japan.

haha, same situation, mine is at NARITA-SHI right now, destination is MA
