Same here. I don't recall what time I ordered but it did say "ships in 7-10 days". and mine also just switched to "preparing for shipment" today. I'm guess it will ship tomorrow and I'll have it by weeks end!
Wow Wednesday? Mines in the same facility delivering tomorrow. On another note, there is a huge ATC/FAA facility up here in Longmont.. Any idea what they do there?

Probably northern dispatch. Honestly they handle more up there than we do actually at DIA.
Update: Just got my shipment confirmation via email just about 12 hours after it went "preparing for shipment". Original shipping dates were June 25-28, Apple now says delivered by June 21. However, FedEx estimates are June 20 by 10:30 am!
I should add I initially purchased the expedited shipping for the extra $15. That coupled with apples conservative estimates is what its getting it faster to me, I think.

So mine was delivered to my local 'delivery' facility this morning, which is about 8-10 miles away. There is a chance they will try for delivery today but not sure. I'm also not sure I want to try to see if I can pick it up. I'll watch the order status for another hour or so and figure what I want to do.
I also happen to need to go in the vicinity of the facility later today but at this point, it doesn't matter if I get it today or tomorrow morning.

Mine arrived at my local facility 20 minutes ago, hopefully it will be delivered today, a day early.
They typically wont hold anything without at least one delivery attempt. If you can do this, it will be on the tracking page.
Woke up this morning and my status changed to PREPARING FOR SHIPMENT

Mine just updated to "at destination sort facility" That usually means it will be delivered same day. Ordered last week as soon as the Canadian store came online, base model with 16 GB
Decided to cancel my order for the 2.3GHz retina model. Too expensive and the I think Apple haven't treated me well with regards to my original order, especially considering I've bough a top model iMac and Macbook air all within the last few months...
If you live in a suburb of Chicago, it still has to go to your local FedEx warehouse. For example, all my packages end up in Chicago, but they have to go to Aurora, IL before they're "out for delivery".
