I am worried now about my order. Since the initial CC verification by Apple when I first placed my order, it has sinced dropped off because I am a 2-3 weeker.

My bank is very security conscious and will drop a denial bomb in a heartbeat until they confirm the charges with me. And with a $4000 order, doubly so I'll bet.

I really wish I was able to know a few minutes to hours before Apple attempts to re-authorize my charge so I can call my bank's security department ahead of time to pre-authorize it.

For the sake of the refreshers - In processing, 2-3 weeks, delivery July 2-9

Call them now man, talk to the security department and explain it now so you don't have any nasty surprises later!

Still listed as being in Anchorage :( So much for hoping it arrives one day early. First world problems

I think us 3-4 weekers are so far out, that anything could happen. The 3-4 week timeframe feels like a vague estimate. It reminds me of Amazon's "Temporarily out of stock" listings. They could come back in stock at anytime. I think the 3-4 weekers could see it ship at anytime, depending on the volume of production vs the amount of orders.

Honestly, I would be really surprised if we have to wait the full 3-4 weeks. Or maybe that's "hopefully"... ;)

The most of my Apple orders in the past came a bit early, so maybe? No one knows.
I just hope :D

For the 3-4 weekers:

do you think that anything will happen for the end of the next week?

At all:

how many RMBP are produced on a single day? A few hundred or more?

I'm in the 3-4 weekers: Yeah, I sure hope so! Will be playing a lot of Forza 4 so I hope the time will fly by! Sure ain't going to be "3-4 weeks". I guess something will happen by the end of this month.

I expect them to get ready to roll out by next monday (yeah my faith in the production is high :D )
Would love to play this game but I haven't a TV so no Game Console :D - but there is enough work for university hopefully this will help.

I think the same as you now about the production, because why else would it be 3-4 weeks of waiting? Yeah, not REALLY 3-4 weeks but you get my point. We can always dream :) But I still think sometime around next week something will happen to us who are in the 3-4 week waiters-line ;)

I have a summer break from my university (same as spring break I think?) so I can play the game until the end of August. :D

I keep feverishly refreshing this thread instead of my order status page because there's at least some movement in this thread.

Entry level MBPR, ordered Friday night (because that's when I got paid) and in the 3-4 week club.

Waiting suckkkkkssss.

Am I the only one annoyed by this!

Wow people are so patient, I am actually quite frustrated and annoyed by the wait times. It seems if you delayed ordering at all after the keynote you got stuck with ludicrous shipping times.

I'm in the 3-4 week group and I ordered last thursday. This would lead me to believe there was some sort of cock up with production or they just didn't pre produce enough stock.

Whatever the reason I don't think I have ever purchased anything of such high value online and been told that it wont be delivered for 4 weeks!

These sort of shortages didn't exist when the iPhone 4 or new iPad were released so something must have gone wrong.

Angry apple customer :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

I can understand that you are frustrated.
But for your iPhone argument - if I remember correctly I had to wait around 5 weeks for the iPhone 4 and around 3 for the iPhone 4S hear in germany.

To all the people that have had theirs prepared to ship/shipped/delivered, around what time did your order status change from processing?

Just trying to figure out if there is a certain time of day this usually takes place. I assume it would be happening during chinese business hours, which would be like between 7PM-5AM eastern time.

Can anyone confirm this?

Ahahaha, in most factories in China, business hours are 24 hours a day and 7 days a week (or so they say).

Slightly yes, but mostly at Apple's inability to get any real number of units into their stores than the online backorder. Though if you had waited 2 days to order any of the recent ipad or iphone releases I'm pretty sure the wait would have been pretty close to a month.

Personally, I passed on ordering right after the keynote since I was sure they would be available in store before those orders shipped. I did finally decide to hedge that bet the following morning, but by then it was too late (2-3 weeks).

I do think something happened with production yes, I don't think there was any real amount of "ready" stock. If I had to guess the first units rolled off the line the week before WWDC and is now just now getting to full rate. They should have announced a delayed release date.

Apple products are great but these wait times are horrible. If they have had these kinds of delays in the past you would think they would have dealt with it by now? We're not buying limited edition ferraris here!

True I would much rather go in to a store and buy it to be honest. The first time I ordered mine on thursday an authorisation payment went on to my card and the order somehow dropped off their system in to thin air. I had to order again but the inital £2500 wont disappear from my card until some time next week, so there is currently about £5000 on my card but no laptop .

any movement on the 2-3 weeks club :(

by the way guys, anyone though about cases  we need to protect this baby because if anything goes wrong it won't be cheap...
